Are changes inside the lanai under Architectural Design Review?

We are changing a summer kitchen and adding a pool bath. All of this work would be under the existing lanai roof. I noticed the bids do include permits but do not include going before the architectural review board. Is that because the lanai is in the back? Or is it because the lanai is considered inside? (It’s not screened in)

You should have a building permit so it is up to the building codes, electrical plumbing

Call community standards 352-751-3912 and ask them, generally they approval anything to the outside of the house, previously i was told inside the lanai was not reviewable, but if I were you, I would call.

I was also told, by Community Standards, that there is no need for approval for anything that is done inside a birdcage as well.
