View Full Version : The new Par Car
Anyone have any experience with the new Par Car electric that does not require water in the batteries and "Self Charges"?? We like the cart but are still PT and only get down for 10 days every two months or so. Our concern is, should we purchase or wait until we are FT and keep renting for now? Main concern is of course the charging scenario. Does it really cut off when charged enough like the sales brochure/salesman say? Does it hurt the batteries to be left that long? Any first hand experience would be welcome!

We moved to TV in January and purchased a streetl legal 4-place Par Car with the sealed batteries. I leave it plugged in at all times that it is not being used. I have never experienced any issues with the charging system. I really like not having to fill them with water, no odors during charging and being able to leave it pugged in for long periods of time. I have a similar charger for my motorcycle that I leave on the charger for months at a time. Hope this helps.

I too am seriously considering the Par Car Big Wheel. Did you make the purchase? If so, were you able to `deal' with the dealership re: pricing? Any advice would be appreciated.

Does anyone know if these sealed batteries can be purchased for use in other makes of carts. If so, at what cost?
Thanks for the reply and no we have not bought yet, just still a litle leery since we are not here FT yet. Worry about leaving it plugged ineven though dealers says its all good, and worried b/c the VA house has not sold yet, still waiting...
