This afternoon, I was coming home from donated blood at the Lady Lake Florida Blood Center branch and a golf cart with two males was entering the Morse Circle near US 27/441.
When the male driver was approaching the golf cart path around Morse Circle he was imitating a frog with a leg sticking out at the knee.
It looked like he was going to take the Morse Circle around in the traffic circle so he could keep letting his knee hang out of the golf cart but instead braked suddenly and turned onto the golf cart path. There is a stanchion there-- when approaching the Morse Circle from the South and the Town Square-- which narrows the golf cart path significantly so that any limb sticking out risks being broken.
While driving to and from the blood center in Lady Lake I noticed many male cart drivers had their knees sticking out of the golf cart. Almost no women though had any limbs protuding from their carts.
Not all, but, most of the time

As Forest said, "Stupid is as stupid does."
Observed the same thing in the past two days, men driving with their left knee sticking out and women not.
One particular cart was in the cart path on Stillwater Trail, straddling the line so the knee was actually sticking out over the line and a target for any car that wanted to pass.
Messed up knees really put a damper on an active lifestyle. Better to keep them in the cart IMHO.

I noticed the "knee thingy" while there in June. Looks like a "cooling" effort to me. Thought I was gonna take a knee or two off on the Morse bridge over Lake Sumter!!:pepper2:

"I" ride, as the passenger, with my feet up on the dash because our EZ GO seat is so deep, that's what is comfortable for me. When I'm driving, I have to put a cushion behind my back...there is no way I can sit all the way back and still drive. And I'm not that short, about 5'4".

I guess those knee hangers are going to have to learn from the school of hardknocks. ouch!
Women always have their feet on the dash. Why ?????
Reasons?
Well.....it's sort of like when we're passengers in a car men are driving....braking come to mind?..... ;)
Maybe because we're shorter and it's more comfortable.....
Heck, women don't need a reason to do anything....:D

My left knee does hang out when driving the cart unless I make a conscious effort to pull it in. I also notice that when I am driving a car my left knee is resting against the door which means that if there was no door, my knee would be hanging out in traffic. Guess it is just habit.

Right you are. Relatively speaking, short people. And everybody knows...

Women always have their feet on the dash. Why ?????
Because we're short. My feet don't reach the floor of the golf cart unless I sit on the very edge of the seat. I can sit back in the seat if I put my feet against the dashboard.
