Coming home tonight on the MMP southbound towards 44, I come up behind a cart with a young female in the the back seat and a young male and a female in the front seat. All of a sudden, I get a whiff of a familiar odor from when I worked UC and then see a joint being passed back and forth. Just when I thought there was nothing new to see here in TV....đ€Șđ€Ș
Grandparents, do you know what youâre grandkids are doing in your cart?

I have a neighbor who moved here from Orlando in 2012 and he was a regular pot smoker. When they legalized it, he was right there to get a prescription. He's for real, he has a 100% Vietnam agent orange disability. So it was nothing new on my block. He always asked me if I wanted any when he use to make his trips to Orlando. I said, the last time I had any was with Jim Dandy of Black Oak Arkansas just before he went on stage in '84, I wanted to keep that memory.

Get used to it. It is legal in many states and as the next generation takes over it will eventually be legal nationwide. Itâs only a matter of time. That being said, it will be regulated similar to alcohol, so people shouldnât be consuming while driving a golf cart.

Should been de-criminalized years ago. War on drugs was lost before it started. No different than alcohol/ moonshine. Look đ how far moonshine has come. Once government figures it can make money off it it becomes legal. Cocaine will be next.

I understand the libertarian mindset of decriminalizing drugs but extending it to certain hard drugs will have eventually have a profound effect on all in society.
The Opium Wars arose from Chinaâs attempts to suppress the opium trade. Foreign traders (primarily British) had been illegally exporting opium mainly from India to China since the 18th century, but that trade grew dramatically from about 1820. The resulting widespread addiction in China was causing serious social and economic disruption there.

Totally agree. Not a fan of drugs whether legal or not. Not a moral stance, just not my thing. However, legalizing and taxing these so called recreational drugs would put a dent in both the related criminal activity and the government deficit. What's not to like.

I have a friend with Agent Orange Disability who has so many problems, the government should give him whatever he wants. Very nasty stuff. Pot does help mitigate the pain meds required and allows the physicians to reduce the amount of pain med given. I've lost two other friends to Agent Orange problems. I'm eternally grateful I was sent to Europe for my duty station during that war.

Used to love that band in the '70s. Their first three albums are great, every song a winner. Don't know why they didn't hit it as big as some other southern rockers. Very cool that you hung out with Jim Dandy. Oh yes. I'm pretty sure I even had at least one of their albums back in the day. Kerry Livgren introducing me to Italian prog had a huge effect on me. After that night I checked out Banco, PFM, Le Orme, Area, etc. To this day, I still think Banco is one of the best bands ever, in any genre, from any country. I had the good fortune to finally see them live in one of their rare U.S. appearances at a progfest in PA around 2008.
And strangely enough...Banco had a hold on Kansas, too. Their song The Spider from Point of Know Return sounds exactly like the great Italian proggers. The Spider - YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBrnBm4hnuc)
And here for your listening pleasure is the one and only Banco doing one of my favorite songs of all time, and I owe it all to Kansas: Banco del mutuo soccorso (non mi rompete) - YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zXws0RYLo4A)
