Psalm 109:8

We were in slow-moving traffic the other day and the car in front of us had an Obama bumper sticker on it. It read: "Pray for Obama. Psalm 109:8".

My husband's Bible was lying on the dash board & he got it & opened it up to the scripture & read it. He started laughing & laughing. Then he read it to me. I couldn't believe what it said. I had a good laugh, too.

Psalm 109:8 "Let his days be few and brief; and let others step forward to replace him."

At last - I can voice a Biblical prayer for our president!

Look it up - it is word for word! Let us all bow our heads and pray.

Now Brothers and Sisters, can I get an AMEN ????

I suppose it would be meaningful to know the context or setting of the verse, to be sure it is not just a sentence we might like among those that are not in the same line of thinking.

But for the words quoted...amen again.

I have been looking for the opportunity to tell y'all about A friend of mine that just started his own business, making land mines that
look like prayer mats.

He says Prophets are going through the roof.

My, my... what a good Christian attitude you have, heh? Yes, you should indeed pray for the leader of your country. But, pray with an open Christian heart and not with one of malice. Shame on you.

Yes, by all means, let's not forget Rush Limbaugh! The wise, the articulate, the drugged.

With all due respect chelsea, It is above my pay grade to modify and paraphrase bible passages. I'm sorry YOU chose to imply intent of harm to the POTUS. The obvious intent was to limit power, not lifespan. The shame is not mine. The shame belongs to those that choose to interpret things that way. Let's not read too much into things, OK?

Christ taught us the manner to prayer with the Lord's Prayer. Even the Lord's Prayer asks God to deliver us from evil.

If I knew how to spell "touche" I would pray it.
