Long term unfurnished units don't seem to have a problem finding tenants. Furnished units short term some will tell you all is well others will disagree.

I have had just as many tenants wanting to rent this year...maybe even more. However, I haven't had any from Canada or England this year.

I am confused with your post. Are you asking if some have not rented, or just informing that you have not had issues, and are rented. If so are you asking for a poll of how many homes will be vacant this year due to the pandemic?

How has this year's rental market compared to previous years?

I checked Hometown's availability, there are 43 furnished units still available for January through April.

I know that last year we were booked in September for Jan-Mar.
This year, we had a couple tire kickers back in September and a Canadian that would have rented but drives down and can't because the border is still closed.
We did finally rent out but it was in November.
My verdict is that many people were waiting to see how the whole pandemic was playing out and Canadians are staying home.
