Local interest in US Amateur - Patrick Reed

I have been following the two days of medal play for the US Amateur because someone from my home course was playing. He did not make match play, but I noticed the name Patrick Reed which I BELIEVE has ties to TV. I do not know the young man, but recognized his name from a recent article about golf course records at TV. His grandparents live in TV.

I do not know conclusively that is is the same Patrick Reed, but both really good sticks and both go to Augusta.

Alas the grandson of two Village residents was knocked out in the round of 32 in the US AM today. I do not think this is the last we will here from him on the golf front.
