Tell me this is not by design... and some of you know what I'm talking about.

"The Gulf of Mexico oil spill has revealed a previously unknown type of oil-eating bacteria, which is suddenly flourishing. And the microbe works without significantly depleting oxygen in the water."

I just read that. I find that very interesting.

Has it come on it's own?

Will it upset the balance of nature?

I wonder how this happened.

The pertinent question/answer here: Who did this research? Energy Bioscience (Seeking a New World of Renewable Energy, per their website) and the University of Chicago with a $500 million grant from, guess who? BP. Additional monies for this 10 year project is coming from the U.S. Department of Energy and the University of Oklahoma Research Foundation.

Regardless, one of the reasons we may never have detected this organism is because it's never had such a buffet put out for it before. Until now, oil in the gulf was limited to small leaks up through the seabed. Now there's a smorgasbord for the little buggers and it doesn't surprise me that we're seeing them *now*.

Don't forget... Rush Limbaugh said this would happen in the very beginning.

Yes, by all means, let's not forget Rush Limbaugh! The wise, the articulate, the drugged.

Yes, he is a former drug addict. I bet you have the same to say about recovering alcoholics, or do you refer to them as the "drunk."

Your Christianity is over whelming.

Even though this is the Political forum, is it not respectful to refer to former Heads of this country hat way?

Rush is wise and articulate.

And the poor guy was addicted to pain killers like millions
of others are in the USA.

Rush was strong enough to beat it, God bless him and Chelsea24 for reminding us.

So much for tolerance the left always preaches to everyone else.

You forgot to mention the pothead, Al Gore, who had to drop out of college three times in order to not flunk out. Gore got his act together as did Limbaugh. Both men proved fallible and both beat their devils.

Let's not forget to give Bill Clinton his props. He tried it but didn't inhale.

People forget about all the huge amount of shipping sunk in the Gulf during World War 2, and there were a lot of oil tankers, some are still leaking oil, but seems like the microbe has been taking care of business for many years

When they have no facts or arguments to present to counter an assertion that differs from their own agenda, the Lib will invariably resort to the tactic of demeaning and defaming the messenger of said facts.
Thank you for the excellent example of this oft used stratagem.
