Do you know of any good Christmas light displays either in The Villages or nearby. I prefer to be able to drive past and photograph them or get out of the car for a quick photo.
Thanks in advance.

Please stop by to view my Christmas lights to music show at 3610 Quietwoods Drive (Village of Lake Deaton - not Warnock side of house) from 6 till 9 PM thru Jan 2nd. Tune the radio to 98.7 FM to hear the music. Note: the whole street has the Christmas spirit!

I have ask them to do so again in an email sent last month which they received and passed on to a person who hopefully will have a map ready before Christmas. There are lots of nice displays to see if only one knew where to look.

It is too bad that they have to wait until nearly Christmas to publish it, so many go to so much trouble to make us all happy and uplifted, and surely it would cut down on crowding and give more people a chance to see IF only the Daily Sun would publish it soon after Thanksgiving.... but then it is the Daily Sun, so does not always reflect the good of the community, even in such simple things. Maybe they don't even KNOW where many are, so I give them the benefit of the "doubt".....

Have you contacted the Daily Sun, to help them out.....?
Did you see the list last year?

My email to the Daily Sun on Nov. 26th
Hello,
When I was living in Ohio, I put on Christmas music to lights show for several years that was enjoyed by everyone. I sold all of my lights and equipment in moving to The Villages as I didn’t see the need for it down here. However, things have changed with the loss of the Hadley street display and this covid mess.
As I am still not too old to do this display again and as I feel that there is a need for people to safely see uplifting sights, I now have a Christmas display in front of my house. As I know there are others in the Villages who are doing the same, I would hope the paper will publicize where these Christmas light displays are located. I would ask you to include my address in this regard.
For my show, everyone needs to tune the radio to 98.7 FM to hear the music to not miss an important part of the show.
Hillsborough Trail to Warnock left on Underbrush Trail then left again on to Quietwoods Drive
their quick reply on Nov 27th by email to me
We’ve shared your email with our editor who oversees what’s going on in The Villages’ neighborhoods.
I hope they have been collecting data and will come through with a good map of Christmas displays as there is a need for it.

If you like to watch Christmas Lights synchronized to Christmas Music you may want to stop by 2545 Fussell Way. I recommend you listen to the music on FM Frequency 97.7. I have outdoor speakers but keep them relatively low so as not to disturb my neighbors. The FM is low power and good for about 50 yards from the house. Below is a sample. My neighbors have some nifty lights as well.

Come by 3351 Wise Way in the village of Pine Hills (also known as Snowman Way this time of year!) I have a 20 minute light show synced to the music of "Frozen, Olaf's Frozen Adventure, and Frozen II." The show runs every night at 6, 6:30, 7, 7:30, 8, 8:30 pm. Fri-Sun the show is on outdoor loud speakers and has Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff and Sven, in front of the garage door. Mon-Thu you can hear the music on 95.1 FM, no characters. Please enter on Wise Way off of Moyer Loop, turn right on Manly Place, take an immediate left onto Wise Way and go around the loop. Park on the street side opposite the house. Please do not block any driveways. If driving by, please turn off driving lights and do not stop in front of house as we usually have 20-30 people watching the show at any given show time.
Video will be up later this week.

I hope their response is better than their spelling. This past week the cover of Recreation and Parks section talked about the "First ever Vitual 5 K run". What is a Vitual? Great proofreading. I thing the word was "Virtual" Don't be too upset if their get the location of the lights wrong.

The town of Lady Lake has a fabulous display located between 441 and Old Dixie Highway. About a block south of 466 and Wawa store. (Not the Oxford end of 466). There is parking there, too.

The Nextdoor app has a cheer map. App users indicate that their home is decorated. Open the app, the map is found by tapping ‘more’ in the bottom right corner.

Took my wife and granddaughter to Cottom Farm last Thursday night. THEY LOVED IT!!
Weekends have more vendors....good stuff. You'll spend an hour to an hour and a half (or even more if you want). Truly worth the admission price.

I was going to do a similar post asking people to post pictures of great X-Mas light displays. Thanks for taking the lead! There's an awesome display on Maple lane, Lady Lake close to Silver Lake rec center. Last year I found great displays around the Village of Belvedere just south of 466 too.

There is a big Christmas Light display in the neighborhood of Sassparilla Way and Oakcrest Path in the Village of St. James. It consists of 6 homes decorated with lights synchronized to music. They collect non-perishable food for the Wildwood Food Pantry (Look for Santa's Sleigh). You can see videos by searching YouTube for "Sassy Oak Show". It is a must see, and best appreciated if you stay for a while. They have speakers but if you have an FM radio, tune to 97.7.

Were you able to socially distance? Can you skip the hay ride and walk to the house? Thanks.
