Fun field trip, nearby

Yesterday, we visited Grandview Clydesdale Farm, one hour from The Villages, in Dunellon, Florida. We signed up online for a 2 hour tour. This is a family run breeding and showing operation. We loved every minute. The tour was interesting and informative, with very little walking. If you love horses, or have a visitor who does, this is terrific.

The World Equestrian Center just opened in Ocala. It is the largest horse show venue in the country I believe. They will be having horse shows there almost weekly now.
There is a calendar on their website. A few restaurants, some shopping.
About 40 minutes from the villages.
