I, Jillian Buchanan, received a "kit" of needlepoint in which I am totally clueless on how to begin. It was purchased by my Father in Pennsylvania. He bought it through Amazon Prime. The company is Hudemas- it is a Gobelin Tapestry called Mucha-Brightness of Day. Measures 27.5" x 9.8"- very long but beautiful. Canvas has a stitching needle and the threads are all bundled in a separate bag- NOT individually labeled or numbered. At the bottom of the canvas, the 30 colors are numbered- yet the threads are not. It came with NO directions, no finished picture, And I really don't know how to begin. I sent an email to www.hudemas.ro.com and they have not replied back. They are based in Romania. Has anyone out there dealt with this??? I have finished many needlepoints in the past - mainly thru Dimensions- and they all come with directions, colors assorted and labeled, and finished picture as well as a black and white layout of the canvas with numbers and corresponding colors mapped out. Please help... 352-446-2644 I live in Village of Glenbrook.

There is a seller on Etsy with a few listings of needlepoint kits that are probably what you have. It appears that what you get is the canvas and the thread or yarn.

Most of the kits I have purchased over the years include all the items you mention (directions/chart/finished picture) although I purchased a "canvas only" thing a couple years ago that I still haven't stitched. I have the yarn for it, just haven't had time.

Hopefully, the Hudemas people will get back to you although I fear they will say the "kit" includes just canvas and threads. There are needlework groups in TV although I don't know if any of them are meeting these days. If not, maybe someone in the group could Facetime with you to help you get started.

Good luck. I'm sure it will be lovely when it is done.
