I've been with ATT for mobile for quite a while and it's been fine. But I have Xfinity for internet and television, which I'm pleased with and will be keeping. Lately I've been wondering...if I would switch to Xfinity mobile, is it possible I'd get a really good deal for bundling all my services together?
What I don't want to do is get inferior cell phone service, so I'd like to hear from you Xfinity mobile folks out there. Are you pleased? Anything particular I should know about the service before I consider a switch?

Have had Xfinity mobile for two years and completely satisfied. Have the 3 gig base we share on 2 phones and love the phone bill, $30 a month.

We have Verizon and thinking of making the move. Have Xfinity for cable, internet and landline and ok with it.

I switched and am satisfied with the service. The price is great starting at $15 a gig.

Xfinity Mobile is a great deal, but you need to have the Xfinity internet service. It uses the Verizon network, which is the best network by almost every independent review. It is the only network I would ever use. My bill is only $13.70 per month for unlimited talk and text and up to 1 GB of data. If you use more data, you can pay by the GB. There is no discount for bundling services, but I am not aware of any cell phone service that has a discount for bundling with different services.

The only potential drawback of Xfinity is that Verizon customers get priority when the cell tower traffic is in very high demand. An example of that might be if you were in a big city attending an NFL football game (pre-Covid) and tens of thousands of people were all attempting to access the same tower with their phones at the same time. Since I don’t like big cities and tend to avoid crowds, this has never effected me. And now when I do not have WIFI access, with unlimited data I can turn my phone into a personal hotspot and use my IPad through my cell service.

I don't know about it being direct service from Verizon, but I switched to it from Sprint, and the difference is night and day. With Sprint, there would be drop offs when streaming in the car, and dead zones when trying to make calls. With Xfinity, none of those problems, and automatically switches to wifi when it finds one of their sites.

I researched it in great detail before switching from Verizon since I was very reluctant to give up Verizon’s extensive and reliable network. Xfinity definitely uses the same network, and all reviews I read confirmed as much, except that actual Verizon customers get priority access to the network in the event the network gets bogged down by excessive traffic. When I went to the Xfinity store to change over my service, the Xfinity technician confirmed this. Since switching over, I have never noticed having my service throttled down, but I also never allow myself to be put in a high population density situation where that would be necessary, so I can’t speak from experience how inconvenient that might be?

I had Verizon for years before switching to Xfinity Mobile. Wife and I notice NO difference in service. What we do notice is a savings of $80.00 a month on our bill. We have never regretted going to Xfinity Mobile.

Since switching my cost for 2 gigs of data and unlimited talk and text has gone down to $15 a month for two shared phones. Uses Verizon network. Strong signal everywhere. Used to cost approx. $70 month for Verizon plan. Had ATT before and signal not strong enough south of 466A. Totally satisfied

In the past, I have researched many cellphone plans, as I decided to switch from a Verizon plan. Xfinity Mobile was a plan that I researched, since I have Xfinity for home internet.
For phone service, they are considered an MVNO, which means Mobile Virtual Network Operator. This means they do not own the networks they use (Verizon) and are network managed when on a busy tower. It also means they do not have access to the shared towers that are not owned by Verizon. This may or may not mean anything to you, but something you should consider. You might think you are never gonna be in a place that has lots of people banging on a tower, but think about being stuck in a traffic jam and everyone using their phones. In this case, you might not have adequate service to even make a phone call, much less use you data.
I am providing a link to a website that does extensive research on all of the cellphone plans. They are independent and do a great job. It might get a little technical, at times, but you'll get the jest of each plan you might be considering.

I have an RV and travel pretty extensively. We use the internet for everything. When traveling, we use upwards of 100GB's per month. Our coach is connected to the internet 24/7 for tracking, streaming music and TV, as well as supplemental navigation. So, our needs are data related; not so much phone calls. We do text extensively.
For our needs, we settled on AT&T for 3 lines. In addition, we have one line with visible (Visible.com) which is a Verizon MVNO and truly unlimited "high Speed" internet data for $25/month. Visible has the same restriction as Xfinity with respect to towers and network management.

I had ATT for almost 8 years and then switched to Xfinity. After a couple of years changed to Spectrum.
The phone service was exceptional for both cable companies. This is because they both use the Verizon network.
The only drawback is that there are some extra perks with ATT. The billing list all of your phone calls. Also with ATT you send and receive messages with a browser on a home computer. Plus with ATT no matter where you are at there will always be an ATT store nearby.
I am sure there are more minor benefits with ATT or Verizon but when it comes to reliable service and good coverage there probably no difference.
Another consideration might be 5G. Will they charge extra for it? And when will it be in your area.

The best service in Florida is Verizon....the most coverage and the best signals. I also moved here with AT&T after over 20 years of being with them. Terrible coverage and always losing signal/calls. Xfinity/Comcast uses Verizon and if you have wifi at the home you can get a much better and cheaper deal going through them. Save yourself money and move....I did and am saving over $100 every month. Had 4 phones cause of the kids and they are still with me now and saving a ton.

We switched about 2 years ago and love it. Realized we each only use about 1/2 gig a month so we did the two phones with 1 gig and our bill ranges from $23 to $35 per month for the 2 lines! So glad we made the switch! No down side so far!

Not true with Xfinity. You do need their internet service to use the cell phone service, but all cell phone customers pay the same rate, regardless of what other services they have. Can you name a company that actually discounts cell phone service if you have other services with them?

Xfinity doesn't offer a cell phone discount for "bundling" with their other services. But, in my opinion, the Xfinity Mobile service is better and cheaper than AT&T. They use the Verizon cell network, which always gets better independent ratings than all other cell networks. My Xfinity bill is $13.70 per month, but I use less than 1GB of data. If you use more than 1GB, you will pay about $14 per GB on the per GB plan. All plans have unlimited talk and text.

You are not required to have their internet(et al) services, to use their cellphone service. When I switched(right before moving down here), about 2yrs ago, I was offered $10/month discount for having the bundled service. But I wasn't required to have it, and when I sold and moved, I discontinued my internet up north, and while relocating down here, lost the $10 discount. Once, I re-established down here, and resumed my Xfinity internet, my $10 discount resumed.

I was as skeptical as you are, signed up for the $12 per Gig program, (remember there is no contract) I brought our phones which were unlocked and they changed the SIM card, I was with Verizon for the past 30 years paying over $100 for two lines and was intrigued with this newcomer to the cellular arena. I can tell you that my cell service from Xfinity has been great, been there for now 17 months, you also get Xfinity WiFi at hundreds of outlets around here, Ocala, Leesburg, Orlando, Gainesville, etc so you don’t use your data. Benefits what has changed is my Bill, for the past year I paid fir my two lines 8 months $14.85 and the other 4 months $28.90 that is included tax and all of the government communications fees. I am LOVING IT. No, i don’t work for them or have any interest in them. Check it out, no contract and you can always go back to your carrier (I will never go back).

We are currently living in Virginia and switch to xfinity mobile a couple years go. Cell service has been very good and it is cheaper. We went from paying 98 dollars a month to pay 24 to 36 dollars a month. The tech support is ok.

I have Optimum cable in NY. They always tell me to switch to their cellphone svc that it's only $20. Problem is they use AT&T network and I still have monthly device pay for Verizon Phones ( all 5 of them on unlimited data family plan and pay about $240/mo )
When I go to TV, I have Xfinity cable and internet ( Mostly on seasonal since I am a snowbird ). For the informed bunch of you, what do you recommend? 3 phones are for my kids in NY and CA.

That is true, however, you can join a Party Pay and it drops to $25/month. It's easy to join a Party and you don't have to know them. You use Reddit to find a party to join and that's all you have to do. Visible automatically gives you the discount and there is no other interaction with the Party.
I've been in a Party for about a year with people I don't know. We had a person drop out and our $25 rate was set to increase, but within a couple hours, we had a new member. Rate stayed at $25/month

You should check to be certain that you do not need to buy a new phone to switch from
ATT to Xfinity. We have Xfinity. Since we no longer use the phone much, we switched to a pay as you go plan with ATT.

Our friends told us about the free service from XF and we were skeptical. This was over 2 years ago. We were with Sprint and were not unhappy, but, FREE vrs. $170 plus a month for 2 phones was worth looking into.... sounded too good. At that time anyone who had Comcast for TV service could get the free mobile service. Our friends were so satisfied, and like us, travel a good deal, etc. At that time they only accepted certain brands of phones. We use Samsung Note phones, so when we needed new ones and found XF price for a note was approximately 50% less than any other place, we decided to take a chance ! In the two plus years since, it is the best move we've ever made phone wise, and we personally don't know a single person who took them up on the free service to any existing Comcast costumer and was unhappy, that includs our son and family in another state. But, maybe there are some who are unhappy with their choice and they will let you know on this site.
You need to know we are NOT huge consumers of data, so the largest overcharge we have ever received has been $15 including any taxes, usually there is no charge since we downloaded the XF Hotspots App which connects automatically to hundreds of thousands of XF hot-spots. Service in on the Verizon system and honestly we have not noticed any difference than our many years with Sprint, EXCEPT, we rarely experience a dropped call any more, and while not a major factor, in 12-15 years with Sprint we did experience many more dropped calls ! Since we changed, does not happen at all ! If you are hesitant I understand, for us going from $170 plus a month for cell phone service to $-0- or maybe $11, $15 at times was just not believable, but we also we very close with the friends who told us about it and knew would tell us any the truth about any negatives they experienced, any "down side", if one existed. Frankly, if you are a high data user, I think it would still be a huge savings even if you purchased additional data. Don't remember because we've seldom needed it, but think it runs $10 a gig.... but have not checked for a long time. You can SHARE the gig(s) if you purchase additional. When we started there were no "packages", the offer was simply sent in the monthly bill of all existing Comcast customer saying they could get "free" cell service just by being a Comcast customer. and could have NO future cell phone bills (unless you go over your minimum data). Works great for us, if we FB, or Zoom, watch a movie, etc. on our phones we are always using free wifi in airports, terminals, coffee shops, etc. or are on one of the XF hot-spots. Talk and texts are unlimited as our Sprint plan was.

That's not as attractive as $25 for sure, think there are many out there now for $40. We're still very happy with our free cell service by being Comcast/Xfinity TV customers. Over two years now, no bills other than our monthly TV service and the network has been great (we travel a good deal); I believe it is actually Verizon. If they begin charging, will have to start comparing all these plans again ! :faint::ohdear::ohdear::ohdear:

Nope, not true. Got latest bill via email Thursday, as usual it said: you monthly charge is $-0- this month. That's our usual, but twice in the past year we had $15.40 and one for $11.80, so we're happy that our original agreement HAS been honored. The "rub" for us is, IF we change our (now VERY old Comcast package "deal") we would actually get a lower price for the same services but would "loose" our original agreement for the cell service ("free" for life.... as long as you change nothing). What you are referencing is for some folks, who actually were not the very first to get the service, the "terms" have changed and they are now charged a minimum each month, they have no completely "free" option any more. But it's a trade off, if we change to a new package, we will (according to them) get a minimum charge for data. Nope, not true. Got latest bill via email Thursday, as usual it said: you monthly charge is $-0- this month. That's our usual, but twice in the past year we had $15.40 and one for $11.80, so we're happy that our original agreement HAS been honored. The "rub" for us is, IF we change our (now VERY old Comcast package "deal") we would actually get a lower price for the same services but would "loose" our original agreement for the cell service ("free" for life.... as long as you change nothing). What you are referencing is for some folks, who actually were not the very first to get the service, the "terms" have changed and they are now charged a minimum each month, they have no completely "free" option any more. But it's a trade off, if we change to a new package, we will (according to them) get a minimum charge for data. That's interesting because I signed up when Xfinity Mobile first started. I used to get bills with a zero balance (I think they added some tax) when I used less than 100MG of data, but not anymore. My bill is $13.70 every month, even when I use less than 100MB. I don't understand why you got bills for $15.40 and $11.80. Why the difference? I am on the single line plan and pay by the GB. Maybe you have a different plan?

I had been a Verizon customer for many years and switched to Xfinity Mobil about a year and a half ago. Xfinity uses the Verizon cell tower network so I get the same signal, in the same locations, as before. My new cellular service is much cheaper than it was with Verizon, and it includes unlimited data, which Verizon didn’t. The only potential drawback of Xfinity is that Verizon customers get priority when the cell tower traffic is in very high demand. An example of that might be if you were in a big city attending an NFL football game (pre-Covid) and tens of thousands of people were all attempting to access the same tower with their phones at the same time. Since I don’t like big cities and tend to avoid crowds, this has never effected me. And now when I do not have WIFI access, with unlimited data I can turn my phone into a personal hotspot and use my IPad through my cell service.
Interestingly, I agree about the "big cities and crowds". I have always felt at least somewhat uneasy in big cities. And now that I'm older, I avoided crowds even before CV. That added to your good explanation of why Xfinity is working well for you.

When neighbors are in violation of lot line rules by putting curbing, bushes and trees too close to the lot line what is the best way to handle it? If the person in violation is made aware of the problem do they usually correct it or do you usually have to file a complaint?

Looks like xfinity found out we are getting a slight raise in social security so they announced a rate increase for Jan 1.
