Weather Club - December Meeting

A presentation called "Why Hurricanes Form (step inside Mother Nature's greatest heat engine)" was given at the Bridgeport Recreation Center. Attendees learned interesting facts about hurricanes which are rarely discussed on the Weather Channel, including why hurricanes spin and how Mother Nature limits a hurricane's size and speed. The presentation included amazing movie clips of how hurricanes cool the oceans and how hurricanes create the "calm before the storm" environment prior to the storm's arrival.
