Several days ago there was an article and picture of the beautiful bald headed eagle located at the new Aviary Rec Center. It is a wonderful piece of art made by a lady in London. It was commissioned by The Villages and I am sure cost a considerable amount of money. I drove down to see it and take some pictures of it. How depressing to discover that they didn’t spend a little extra money on the case, or worse didn’t even consider, enclosing it in non-glass rather than regular glass, Right across from the eagle case are two exterior windows which project two views of the parking lot, one on each wing of the eagle. Pics are impossible with the horrendous glare on the glass of the case. I would implore The Villages to replace the glass with non-glare glass to allow this beautiful, and I’m sure expensive, piece of art to be enjoyed, and be capable of being photographed, by all.

Perhaps you'd care to pay for change?

Im sure they would accept donations to get the glass replaced

The eagle is beautiful but What surprised me is there is no sign with the artist name or where it came from or how it was made or anything.

I know a lady here in The Villages that has painted a better bald eagle picture than this one and I'm sure she would not have charged for it. She has had her picture on display in several places here - the rec center, the bank, etc.

A painting and a sculpture out of paper are two very different mediums.

Good observation. But if I made corrections on social media, I would not have time to do anything else. So I let them go.

Or till the sun moves and glare goes way.
