All over the news that people are being vaccinated in Orlando and today you can sign up in Marion. We have thousands of son's and daughter's visiting with their children last week and this week. Five passed my house this morning on bikes ranging in age from probably six to ten. (none wearing mask) Small Children are like petri dishes for the virus. (they carry it with no symptoms) Anyone heard anything about signing up in Sumter for the vaccine. I have a strong feeling we are going to see a huge uptick in cases in the next few weeks due to visitors. The VA told me last week they will have the vaccine at the Village Outpatient clinic shortly for those over 65.

Let me provide a little info. My daughter in law is an infectious disease specialist with the CDC in Atlanta. She has worked for the CDC for 13 years and is close to the top of management there. She has taken her vaccine injection and plans to have her two small children (my grandchildren) take the injection as soon as available. She has no problem in taking any of the vaccines whatsoever. If she feels that strongly as a physician who has been on the front lines with the CDC since this thing started then neither do I.

"Growing a horn" would be better than being a customer at one of the local funeral parlors.

In reality, the Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna vaccines were better tested, in terms of numbers in the Phase 3 trial, than most (if not all) similar medications. What is somewhat lacking is a longer, in time, test period. This is probably not an issue because most issues with medications apparently occur within the first 2 months and both these vaccines had their Phase 3 trial period extend over 2 month. Take it or don't take it, I am sure nobody cares. However, please refrain from making statements that are simply not true.

The horn will be another convenient spot to attach the mask to.

Why are residents of Sumter county held in the dark when all but 2 counties list when and where their residents can get a Covid vaccination:

Why should we stand for such ignorance in our county government when these other counties have dug down deep for information to serve their residents. Total incompetence from our elected politicians and we should all let them know we want this information as it becomes available, not after everyone is on their 2nd shots and we haven’t even got our first.

Called my doctor at TV Health. They have no information yet on when the vaccine will be available. She could make no estimate on when it will be.

I'm more of an optimist but in reality, we probably will not see large scale Vaccinations till May or June. According to Operation Warp Speed, we were to have 20 million inoculated by year's end so far only 2 million and that's is just the first dose. It's estimated at this rate it could take 5-10 years.

Residents can also text COVID19INFO to 888-777 to receive notifications when the vaccine becomes available to more groups.

So their daily report should be "Not available yet". The State determines when the County gets a delivery. I suspect the Counties that get it first are those that contribute to the State treasury through employment so keeping people working and providing customers are important.

We just had our shots today. It's by the new Costco on 466A!:ho:
Seriously, Wife and I had our vaccinations this morning here in TV. There are so many smart people on here you figure out where and when. But, I can tell they are giving shots with five lanes of traffic. I think it was 1000 per day!

Thank you for letting someone else received the vaccine that you decline. I'd rather have a horn growing out of my head than my pushing up daisies.

The injections now being given just off 466 will continue for at least 90 days according to another person who went there yesterday.
