Has anyone had crown molding installed in a Camelia/Gardenia recently?
Would appreciate your experience, approximate cost, recommendations.
Also what size molding used.
Thanks,
G
I used Mario Viola, owner of Creative Finish Carpentry. On his web page, prices for Crown Moulding for each Villages model villa and home are listed. When he did our home right after Christmas, he had a special going. We had 5 1/4 inch moulding installed. He might have more deals for interested potential customers. The entire job was completed in one day, installation, painting, caulking. When the terribly cold weather caused a problem with some wood on an exterior wall, he was here promptly and corrected the problem. In our neighborhood he's done a number of homes and all are satisfied with the workmanship, professional attitude of Mario and his workers.

Chris and Mario of Creative Finish did our Whispering Pine about two weeks ago. Got started around 9am and were finished by 3pm. Chris and Mario put up the molding. George and three other painters came in around 11am to do the caulking, filling, sanding and painting. They did a beautiful job, very professional.

WE used Brian Freitag the Owner of B&J Builders. Brain did our crown moulding...all 5 1/4inch. He is also a General Contractor and built us a custom 12 foot entertainment center (wall to wall) in the family room...no wasted space, absolutely beautiful, built custom shelves and installed cabinets off fthe laundry room, and just recently expanded our family room by taking out the sliding glass doors and enclosing our lanai with glass sliding winows. we then added a pocket door from the former lanai and knocked a window out of the master bedroom to create entrance(s) into a new hexagonal room off the master bedroom that can be used as an office, sitting or hobby room.
Brain is a General Contractor and small business man who was formerly a village construction supervisor and comes highly recommended. He personally does all the crown moulding and trim work....and he is very competitive on prices which includes all prep, installation, painting and clean up. Trim work is his speciality!
For his bigger work he uses all the same subcontractors that work on TVs new construction. He is licensed, insured, and if necessary he handles all county paperwork/inspections. He has no sales force thus no middle man to pay. He is an Easy guy to talk to ...easy guy to work with....if there is an issue with your job and you call him, he returns the calls.

Mario with Creative Finish - outstanding work, 5 1/4" all rooms and hallways, except closets, and the cost is $2,600 for a Gardenia or Camelia. You just can't get better than that! In one day.
Mine was done last January and I've had no reason what-so-ever to call him back. I highly recommend.
