Is there a new policy regarding use of the restrooms in the sales offices? I was denied use of the rest room at the Brownwood Sales Office.

Did you have business with the sales office or did you just walk in off the street to use the restroom? TV administration has been quite picky during this pandemic. Sales offices REQUIRE masks, District Offices REQUIRE masks AND an appointment. They are trying to limit traffic in their offices

With the pandemic they might be restricting access to only employees, I really don't know. However, 100' south you have restrooms inside the theater ( which you can use) and more restrooms just to the right of the theater. It's a 2 minute walk from the sales office.

LSL Sales Office rest rooms that would a big change. They really don't have great access to rest rooms at that square, the movie theater and the sales office are the most convenient at Lake Sumter Landing.

If you now need to be doing business in the sales office to use the restroom, that would be a new restroom policy.

Your very first TOTV post. It's certainly one to remember.. :1rotfl:

When we were there in November we were walking through the sales office in LSL and I asked to use the restroom and was told they weren't available due to Covid. They directed me down the block to the stand alone restrooms that are just off the sidewalk near the lake.

Seems pretty weird to choose a sales office as your preferred bathroom when there are so many other places in Brownwood you could've picked. World of Beer would've let you use theirs, Gator's Dockside probably would've let you use theirs, there's a public restroom facility right around the corner from the sales office.

:ohdear: John, Spanish Springs and Brownwood have a set of public restrooms each. LSL has 2 sets of Public Resrooms. :)

Same thing happened to me. I was told it was only for those with appointments in the sales office. I wanted to show friends the beautiful inside but not allowed.

When we were in TV for our lifestyle visit in June our sales person told us that we can use those restrooms but if we were not on the lifestyle visit we could not because of Covid.

Lake Sumter Landing has two sets of restroom that are open for the public. They are located 1) Behind RedSauce and 2) East of WVLG building on Lake Shore Drive

I was at a meeting behind the office also and was denied access also. They sent me to public bathrooms over by dunkin donut. This was difficult for me as I was handicapped.

I do not know where all the public restrooms are located at or near the three squares. Perhaps with the new policy in place during Covid they could post a list of public restrooms on the door stating the new policy and the location of the restrooms for those of us who don’t know where everything is. I can totally understand their choice on keeping those restrooms separate for their staff and those doing business in that facility but when that is the only restroom known it can cause some consternation if access is denied. Thanks to all for letting me know about all the available restrooms.

If you are not doing business, which is to say being a paying customer conducting your business then you have no business doing business in any business you choose.

Sounds like when I was a kid. Eight of us, one bathroom. Even if you had an appointment to use the bathroom you couldn’t get in.

The sales offices are located and furnished as a showcase for The Villages to attract potental customers. Lots of visitors walking through are impressed by the comfortable atmosphere of the sales offices. It is not just a place for meetings. I think it would be a mistake to restrict access to the restrooms. What does COVID have to do with it? You are supposed to be washing your hands often.

If you worked in an office all day during Covid, would you want your office bathroom open to the public ,I think not. Restaurants and public restaurants are a completely different issue whether they are safe to use is up to you. All 3 squares have public restrooms within a 2or 3 minute walk and as been said here there are plenty of restaurants, some of these post just seem to be another way of saying how terrible the family is

Some people posting seemed to be living here a long time and don’t know where all the public bathrooms are, either they don’t get out much or just like to complain that once again they are being treated badly by the family , oh god help us with all the injustices that are inflicted on us villagers everyday

If you now need to be doing business in the sales office to use the restroom, that would be a new restroom policy.

The Villages sales office, like other businesses, are limiting public Access to the restrooms. It is a reasonable policy in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

When we bought here they always said come back to the sales office for anything like the free coffee etc.

Not a good tactic for sales or as a good neighbor.

Maybe the restaurants will follow to protect their employees.

One thing for certain is you can't fix stupid and there is plenty of that going around.

Did you think they were public restrooms? Go to one of the Rec. Centers. Sorry but you didn’t explain yourself if you were in the market for a home or you just walked off the street. Remember what’s going around Covid19!

I asked back in November and was told closed until COVID is done and to use the bathrooms outside.
