Has anyone registered on this site with the intention of using the registration for someone else. For example you have a elderly neighbor who is not experienced with computers. So I make the initial registration not giving my ssn or insurance information. When I get the approval to make the appointment, I register my neighbor.

I haven't tried it (too young) but I have to believe there would be a way to sign up someone who doesn't have a computer. Is there some point in the process where they ask for the name of the individual registering for the vaccination? If you entered your neighbor's name then how is that different than if his/her fingers were on the keyboard?

Of course, the email would come to you and you would have to print it for your neighbor but all the information would be his/hers.

Is there a phone number to call GMR and ask this question?

The only problem is they say you go on waiting list per the time you do first signup. They are not doing that because people that signed up Monday and are on the wait list are not getting 2nd code for appt,. while people that signed up Tuesday, already have gotten their second code and appt.
Would be excellent if they did what they said they were going to do with wait list.

Went there at 1pm today, really well run and smooth out of there by 1:30 including wait time after injection.. the only problem were some people showing up with no appt. and I guess arguing and holding up the line and be turned around and out... so if you don't have an appt. don't go, they won't let you in.

I would suggest you apply with all your neighbor's information with the exception of SS# and insurance information. Then you will have all that information already in the system to go ahead with step #2.

They WERE letting people in this afternoon without and appointment but I was there for a 4:00 to 4:30 window. I arrived at 3:45 and waited in a line of cars separate from those who did not have an appointment.

I would imagine at the end of the day, they do allow folks with no appointments to get on line. At that point they know how many appointments they have vs how many vaccines they have left for the day. That is only what I surmise and that is by no means what is actually the reason why they were vaccinating people that did not have appointments.

Very true. I was one of those who said I would no longer wear a mask once I'm immune. That is after the second shot and after the waiting period after that second shot to develop the 94.5% efficacy of the vaccine. I also read that the vaccine offers 100% protection of becoming so ill that hospitalization is required. That is a good enough for me to make the decision to get the vaccine.

I was not willing to protect the anti-vaxers by continuing to wear a mask and social distance from others. I have since changed my tune about ditching the mask and no longer social distancing once I'm immune. I understand now that it will take a long time to vaccinate everyone who WANTS to be vaccinated.

Once our country has reached a safe herd immunity by inoculations, it is then and only then I will ditch my mask and not worry about social distancing from others. That time will be when we are informed by the CDC that it is safe to drop the precautions. Until then, it is everyone's job to keep others safe and slow the spread of this virus.

I also applied on Monday, Jan 11th and people were reporting they applied AFTER me and were being notified of their codes to go to Step 2 in the registration process. I contacted the main company about this and received an email within minutes that a local representative will be getting in touch with me soon. Within one hour of that email, I received a text message giving me my code so I could go to Step 2 on the SafeRestart website. Was it coincidence? I'll never know for sure but I've got my first shot within one hour of getting my code to register. There was a time slot available that afternoon so I took it. Got my first shot yesterday, Jan. 13th. I was given my appointment for 28 days after my first shot in an email after I selected the time window for my first shot. The process is a good one.

This is the site I used to contact the main company........

I am assuming you signed up with the "saferestart" website. Which I did too. You will get the bar code soon. I signed up early on Monday and by Wednesday I had my barcode and appointment. I did get my vaccination on Wednesday and one of the workers there on Monday said they would stay in the Buffalo Ridge location into the future so people could get vaccinated.

So, I read in the news that they only had a little over 300 doses. That doesn't seem to be accurate, but if so those that registered late are not going to get vaccinated because those that did not get registered got in line for their shot and still received a vaccination. I have been trying to get my spouse signed up for her vaccination by several means but always seem to get the info too late and they are always out of doses. If they are giving away slots to those that are not going through the process, that does not seem like a very good process. I drove past the site yesterday and saw the lines waiting for their shots and thought how nice and orderly it seemed. I guess, like Europe the best way to get served is to jump the line. I didn't think that America would resort to that attitude of shoving others out of the way like they do in other countries. I am not concerned about getting my shot as the VA will eventually give me one, but my spouse won't leave the house because she is afraid that she might die from an infection. She's been shut in for the past year in fear that her multiple health issues would make infection fatal. For those that jumped the line without registering, I sincerely hope you needed the vaccination more than those that have been patiently proceeding in a civil manner--by following the process of going about it by following directions.
If you come on here to brag about how you didn't register but still got your vaccination, don't expect a pat on the back in congratulations. Your jumping the line, may just have caused someone else major grief. I bet the ones jumping in front of others in line to get their shot are some of the same ones that admonish the non-maskers for being selfish.
I know that everyone will eventually have the opportunity to get their vaccination, but that is of little comfort for some that are shut in and do not have computer skills or get the news early enough to get in line today. I will get mine from the VA but that does not help my spouse get hers so she can feel safe enough to leave the protection of our home.
Congrats to those that got their immunization so fast. Thanks to our leadership for making this possible, so fast. Other than a few glitches, the process seems to be moving along very well.

Once you register with saferestart and get an appointment code, what website do you use to insert the code to get an appointment? It is not the same website as the saferestart website.

When you get the actual code for the vaccine, they give you a link back to the original website and you do #2 and it then asks for that code, put it in and continue to fill out this page. You select your date and time from the drop down box

So how do you sign up and get an appointment???

Look on the front page of the Daily Sun, on the bottom. Go to the website and put your info in and they will process and tell you they will send a code. Then go back on same website with the code and fill out the rest that they ask and then pick what day and time you want to go. easy peasy.

The entire operation was amazingly well run and organized. It did not resemble any of the pictures I have been seeing from around the country. Counting the 15 minute observation period after the injection, we were in and out in less than a half hour.

I also signed up my spouse and myself on Wed and have yet to get a response other than a verification code. Nothing so far regarding the selection of a date. I can only assume that they ran out of doses for the time being. I figured that if I registered myself also, we would have two chances for her to get in the selection process. I'd gladly give her mine and wait for the VA to give me one when they receive their quota of vaccine doses.

Once you input your code, how broad is the span of dates you have to chose from? A couple of days, a couple of weeks?

We have several upcoming medical appointments that would be a problem if the span is too short. Unless there are several dates to choose from we will need to wait to register. We don’t want to register and then not be able to go on the potential dates.

This is the correct website to register for a vaccine for the location on 466 behind Fresh Market......

If you have a registration confirmation code, you should have seen a drop down with the windows of dates and times you would like to schedule your first shot. Suggestion, we had a neighbor do it for us. I could say with us but that would be a lie.
They used our e-mail and we are registered. We do not yet have an appointment but did get a confirmation that we are registered.

We did not give our social security number either. Gossip is they will get it from you when you arrive.

They do not ask for your SS#. Sumter County told me SS# is not required.

I wish I could answer your question but I didn't even look that far. I got my email at 3:30pm on Jan. 13th, looked at the drop down with the dates and times, saw there was a window for THAT day at 4:00pm to 4:30pm and took that one. I did not look any further. Ran out of the house, hopped in the car and drove down to the vaccine location. I received my first shot. Quick and easy for me.

I did that, but now I wanted to confirm the date, time and location. All I have is the 5 digit verification code

My code to register for the vaccine in Step 2 was a combination of six letters and numbers.

I had a five digit code for Step 1 for the initial application.

I registered Mon. got code on Wed. and have appointments. I have been trying to sign up my 82 year old neighbor and get as far as enter birth date after getting code. I have received at least 20 codes and it will not let me get past enter birthdate.

You can contact the main website to tell them your difficulty with the Saferestart website. Someone got back to me quickly when I voiced a concern. Here is the page.......

I just now went in and secured an appointment. I chose Monday, 1/18. There were more dates available after that. All dates had many time choices, so you shouldn't have a problem finding one that works for your schedule.

When did you first register and when did you get your confirmation email to select date.
