Tip #1 - An alligator is fast, even on land. Twice as fast as most people, which is about four times faster than us Villagers. You cannot outrun the gator. So if you're walking with your wife by a pond and you see a gator approaching. Run, run fast. And remember you don't need to outrun the gator, just outrun your wife!
Tip #2 - Alligator groups and gender identification - groups of alligators are called a congregation. See, you learned something today! If you see a congregation and they're all bunched together, snorting and swishing their tails, these will be males having a good time. If you spot a congregation of females, you can recognize them, because they'll generally be in small bunches of two or three, and will be snarling, barking and snapping their teeth at the other bunches.
Just TEASING, it's better than politics and pandemics.

Alligator is actually good to eat. Gator's Dockside has Alligator Bites or Bits. Meat comes from the tail. Yummy!

Alligators will not attack something bigger than them without extenuating circumstances like having been fed by humans or being cornered. If you are in the water your head looks like a floating animal, if you are kneeling next to the water you look like a small animal. If you approach a sunbathing gator thay are pretty quick to execute a hasty retreat to the safety of the water. An alligator goes weeks without eating so every gator you see is not looking for a meal. Males are more aggressive and move about during mating season but gators do not breed until 10 years of age which would put them in the 7 to 9 foot range. If one of that size is walking about in the spring give him a little extra space. Remember any complaint about a gator results in their death. There is no relocation, a trapper is not paid for moving a gator to a new home. They sell the hide and meat. Remember nature was here before us.

If you’re in a group and being chased by an alligator.
You don’t have to be the fastest person running away. You just don’t want to be the slowest. :)
