Starting to become concerned there will be no vaccine for the 2nd shots

Is there going to be a supply of vaccines for us who have received our first Moderna shots to get our second shots ON TIME when we have our set appointments? I'm concerned.

We were called yesterday regarding our second shot...we received our first shot a week ago Thursday and are scheduled for Feb 3rd to get our second shot in Sumter County.

Pardon my ignorance but what happens if one doesn't get the second shot "on time" ? Does it nullify the first shot ? Or even something worse ?

I think I read somewhere that with the Moderna shot there is a window of 4-12 weeks to get the 2nd shot. 4 weeks is ideal, but not an absolute.

Thanks but what happens if you go outside the window ? Do you just start all over again or are there other issues ?
