I found the same thing once and I thought, "What would Jesus do?" So I turned it into wine.

There are people who don’t use a wallet or key ring. They carry cash, their driver’s license, separate keys, bare cellphone, and other separate things in their pockets, instead of carrying a wallet and key ring. Those people end up losing things over and over, and they cannot learn after losing things, or can be convinced to carry a wallet and key ring!

The fun in using cash is also including change. You’ve already calculated what the cashiers needs to give you back. Watching them trying to figure it out speaks volumes of how bad the educational system has become in America.

And that’s with the register telling them how much to give back.

Cash was a thing the ancients used many years ago.
I remember my parents talking about it!:icon_wink:

Especially when most registers list “total owed”, amount presented, and change due.

That’s right. If I’m going to lose it I’m going to lose it all at once.

easy to tell that you're not from New England USA. I lived near Boston for 20 years.

Water fountains are called 'bubblers', milkshake=frappes, subs=grinders, and of course...'cah'.

Sorry for the post hi-jack - but an 'attaboy' for the first to respond what New Englanders call a 'rubber band'...

You expect cashiers to be able to read? That is a lot for a $ 15 per hour minimum wage salary.

Haven't carried a wallet in years. I carry my cash, credit cards and drivers license in a money clip placed in my front pocket.. I have never lost a thing. A wallet is much more likely to fall out of a back pocket than money clip is to falling out of my front pocket.
