since we purchased our home in 2016 Massey Services has inspected our home for termite issues (for a fee, of course). they are coming this week and the receptionist said that after the inspection the tech will present options for treatment. Treatment? we have had no issues. Anyone had a similar situation with Massey. Is this a scam that keeps on going? Appreciate input.

We dropped Ma$$ey at the first opportunity when our warranty ended last year.
They had been "inspecting" annually for about a hundred bucks.
Ma$$ey wanted to retreat the property though there were no problems, at a cost of multi-hundreds of $$$$. Somewhere approaching a thousand, but I forget.
We changed to Dean's and are quite satisfied. They charge just a tad more than Massey but they include an annual treatment and do not have the expensive re-treat.
Best wishes.

After your initial 5 year warranty expires, Massey wlll retreat the entire house for about $500 and renew the warranty for 10 years with the same annual inspection charges, which are about $90 depending on the size of the house.
Dean's will treat every year for about $160 per year, but they only treat part of the house each year, not the entire house. However, Dean's will only warrant the house on a year-to-year basis, and they will not guarantee that the annual fee will not increase.
I think Massey is a better deal than Dean's because of the 10 year warranty, and I think it is good to have a termite warranty in place, especially when you sell the house. I would not want to risk an expensive treatment and possibly damage repair when I sell my house.
