I am looking for people who put in a new membrane roof or forever roof as some people call it. Would enjoy it if you can give me company or contractor references.

I recently had a membrane roof put on my manufactured home by Covenant Roofing, also called a TPO roof. Good job, competitive price, but they are butt ugly.
A shingle roof would have cost about the same and I so wish I had opted for that instead. I just went with TPO because they supposedly last longer.

How did you get permission for the membrane roof, as I recall our deed restrictions (CDD 9) specifically state asphalt shingle roof. I am thinking of trying for approval of a metal roof that looks like shingle roof in a few years if the insurance companies agree these are very long life roofs.

Covenant Roofing took care of all that. They did the Lady Lake permit and I believe the salesperson said no approval was needed from the Villages because they were replacing "like with like," i.e., they replaced the original TPO roof. I'm in the funky historic district where basically anything goes anyway.
He quoted me for a metal roof, which I would have loved to get because I think they're the best looking of all. But I didn't want to pay about $3500 more for it.
