Don't get me wrong love Jeopardy show and contestants are amazing RIP Alex...The payouts are pathetic come on contestant amasses over 35k only to come in second leaves with 2 k
Wheel of Fortune you keep what you win. Not a bogus you came in second so you only get 2 grand

I think remember long time jeopardy use to let contestants keep what the earned, then they went cheap?

I agree. They should keep what they earned, like on Wheel of Fortune.

But it's better than they used to give--nothing to the losers and a case of Rice-a-Roni to the winner.

That's gotta be the cheapest darn show on the air, compared to its viewership and advertisement rate plus $ from syndication and goods.

I just read that they have been using the tie breaker since 2014. I believe to be fair, since they ended the show tied in regulation that both should keep their earnings but only the winner of the tie-breaker can come back.

Both players should have won and been invited back. I did not like the way the winner was chosen with a final question. It's all in how fast you can press the button, not just your knowledge of the subject matter.

I've seen tie-breakers once or twice before, but it's definitely pretty new. Maybe a year or so?
