why are threads closed so quickly

It seems even if I review the email in the morning it is quoting yesterdays posts and ready to close the thread or already has been closed. With something as important to people as the vaccine availability I think the thread should last so you can have a full discussion and not miss things.

There are so many threads about masks, the virus and the vaccine, that you should be able to find another one suitable for posting in.

With something as important to people as the vaccine availability I think the thread should last so you can have a full discussion and not miss things.The thread you are referring to had 26 posts removed for either being off topic or of a political nature. This has become a common occurrence among Covid/vaccine related threads. Sometimes the only way to get it to stop is to close the thread. So where it might seem that we closed it too soon it was already far off the rails.
