Executive Travel ran a seminar which we attended in 2020 and booked a trip - we provided the agent with a $500.00 deposit which we discovered was deposited to "Executive Travel" and not Viking.... The trip was cancelled by Viking due to the pandemic and (of course) we never received our money back - Executive Travel claimed it was a " retainer" and not a deposit. Be careful !

When you paid the $500, did you get anything in writing? Did it say it was a refundable deposit or a non-refundable retainer?

Reminds me of the Timeshare "free dinners." They hypnotize you into writing a check. Hopefully you at least got a free lunch at Panera.

Did you pay by credit card?

Any paperwork you signed? If you did sign anything what does it say?

We went to one early spring and after about an hour got bored and left. Sounds like they are crooks. Who would pay a retainer to a travel agent for anything?
