Once again I am reaching out to my fellow Villagers for help as you always seem to guide me in the right direction.
To begin with neither my wife nor myself have children or family and thru life I have done well with investments and now life is coming to a close and trying to find attorney or firm that will act as my "power of attorney" in the event I am disabled. It is hard to trust a "friend" with so much authority and although I have drawn up a Trust I only want assets to be managed "after" my death but in the event I am incapacitated I would like to find "power of attorney" to pay bills, taxes, payments, etc until my death and then all assets will be managed by Trust as my wife would not be burdened with the headaches.
I had talked to firm that will manage my Trust once I have passed on but they have told me they will not handle "power of attorney" due to liability and the fact that only after my death will they be allowed to "take over" managing of my assets
Reaching out to see if you might know of a firm or attorney that might help me solve this problem. Seems this "power of attorney" has too much authority and would like to find someone that can do this
Thank you again for your advice. As always it is greatly appreciated
