Hello all,
I need new tires for my golf cart. What exactly is a "Villages" approved golf cart tire?
Thanks,
Bernie

Below are the specifications used to determine the eligibility of the tire:
The manufacturer of the tire must refer to the tire as a "golf course tire".
The tire must have a rounded vertical tread with a maximum depth of ¼ inch.
The total width must be a minimum of 8 inches.
The tire pressure must not exceed 28 psi.

Did you check the link in your post? I tried to post that link last night and when I tested it, it came right back to TOTV front page. It doesn't make sense, you can see the link's address when you're posting it but it comes back here, so I didn't post it.

Stop in at any golf shop. They have a list of approved tires. Some of the starter shacks have the list also.

Great info.......now, where is the best place to get replacements. Need to be off The Reservation because the Villages are too expensive.

Whichever model you choose from among those approved by The Villages golf courses, be certain you choose the slightly more expensive radial models. The ride is noticeably smoother.
As far as which models are acceptable, call or visit one of the championship courses and ask. The last time I checked, they keep a list of approved tires. If the manufacturer calls them “golf cart tires” in their description, chances are they’re OK. If they have noticeable treads or lugs they’re almost certainly not acceptable.

I bought tires with rims for about $30 each at Sam's Club not long ago. They were a bit cheaper at Walmart but had to be ordered. Sam's had them in stock.
