Jordan is such a nice person, it's been painful watching him fall so far, so fast. Hopefully, it turns out to be a shootout just between him and Xander, who would also be a worthy champion.

Agreed.

I wouldn't mind seeing Steve Stricker in the hunt though...he's almost as old as we are!! :a040:

I really would like to see JS win again. It would be nice to see a playoff between Spieth, Xander and Stricker.

The title is open. with no runaway leader, so could be a great final round.
Even Brooks Koepka has found his game at last.
Speith was brilliant.

Yes! He’s back.....you might want to re-evaluate that round, before the “he’s back”, stuff starts.
First...it’s ONE round
Second....his driving was poor at best. If the course had woods or high rough, he would have shot 75
Third...no matter how good he putts, he ain’t making 30 footers for four rounds
He chipped in from 70 feet...
Yes, he’s back.....

YES! Words we have not said for way too long. Regardless of what happens today-it is wonderful to see Jordan at the top of a leader
board. 2021 is looking brighter already!

I love this tournament even without the full attendance on 16. Jordan was the best at dropping those 30-40 footers and it’s was great to see his “# of feet of puts made” triple in the last few holes. JT and Brooks in the hunt, looking for an exiting finish today

While it seems his swing and ability to score is back, today will be the test to see if his mental toughness is also. One of the hardest things in golf, at any level, is following up an outstanding round with another good one.

And there in lies Jordan's problem. The fact is that he never had a complete world class game. His ball striking has always been weak. He was a spectacular putter. For a few years he was close to the greatest putter in history. But when a player depends so much on one part of his game, and it eventually begins to fail him, and it always will, he doesn't have enough of the other parts of his game to compete like he once did.

I agree is was exciting but Xander Schafflee tied him by the time he finished. Should be an exciting final round with so many still close to the top. You have to wonder what changed with Speith after playing so badly for so long.

Yes it was quite the round. Seems like a very nice young man but I've said that before and gotten burnt when the cameras aren't on. Will name a few I have met over the years. Trevino, Hale Irwin,Craig Stadler! met all three of those guys when I was working 3M tournament. When cameras went off boy did there personality change also. Very rude obnoxious demanding jackass's. Vowed never again to overhype players that seem like great guys. But everything I have seen or heard has been positive about Jordan so good luck to him!

Doubtful, but we will see. Jordan hasn’t won since 2017. Has been off the rails since he won 3 majors. Sort of reminds me of David Duval of a few years ago. Wish him well as he really is a nice guy.

I was fan of Jordan when he came on the scene, I even bought an Under Armour cap. However, of late I'm a homer, and Brooks Koepka went to Florida State, that's been my favorite college team since the 60s. I also like his style, he doesn't get over excited or show emotion. He reminds me of Dave Marr from many years ago, in fact I followed Dave Marr at the St. Petersburg Open in 1962. I'm glad to see Brooks back.

Also I still like Jordan and Xander Schauffele, who also is from the school of cool. My only gripe with Xander was his name, he was born Alexander, why didn't he just cut it short to Alex Schauffele, so much easier to say and remember. Never seen anyone use the second half as their name.

PS - My second favorite golfer is not an American, but I don't care. It's Rory McIlroy and even bought one of his limited edition headcovers just like he uses on his driver and it has his signature but it's only a copy. They made a 1,000 of these and I saw them going for $100, I was able to get one on eBay auction for $22.

I'm a fan and was thrilled by his performance yesterday. But, I don't expect him to win today against Schauffele. Schauffele was playing very well; Jordan was putting very well. He's still blocking his drives way out to the right, leaving himself very difficult approach shots. Xander is pretty much crushing it down the middle. But I'm still pulling for Jordan.

I'm thinking not too many had Koepka on their Bingo card. It looks like more scar tissue for both Spieth and Schauffele, who now has 10 runner-ups without a win since the start of the 2017-18 season. Kudos from all of us old guys to Stricker though, for hanging in there. Koepka deserves a lot of admiration and credit, for working through some injuries that even he wondered if they might keep him from getting back to the highest level.

well, Jordan has to stop moping, and whining after every shot. I don't know how he even enjoys playing, every shot according to his body language is a disaster.

Sorry, but one over par is not a good round on the PGA Tour.

You cannot continue to drive the ball poorly and miss greens and expect to make a lot of 30 footers. It will eventually catch up with you as it it with Jordan yesterday.

Announcer had it perfectly correct when he said, "Brooks smells blood in the water". You have to give him credit, Brooks is a dominant player, and if you make a mistake, he will capitalize on it. Poor Jordan didn't make a putt all day, but continued to drive the ball pretty poorly. At least he made some money.

His iron play was not very good either. It hasn't been for a while. The only time that he plays well is when he drains a lot of long putts and that's not going to happen a lot.

Such a broad, general statement is simply not true.

Most days yes, but tell that to the pros while they're playing The Open Championship or the US Open on a well prepared, difficult course with brutal pin placements and 20+ mph gusting winds. There are days they would take a one-over-par round in a heartbeat.
