We plan to install a pool with our new construction home here in the villages. Just looking for some input on those that have done the same. What you would’ve done differently and what you wish you would’ve done. We are thinking of a pool storage room and maybe a pool bath.

Thank you

Joe

Wish I’d had put in a bathroom for pool area.

Best thing we ever did was design steps and added an additional one so as u age u can get out without struggling

Have seen the pool storage and bath room on the lanai on several homes homes under construction with pools being built at the same time. Better than peeing in the pool.

I would make it deep and more large and rectangular, less of a cute shape with a shallow 'beach' area

Cost of pool construction
Cost of pool maintenance
Cost of pool upkeep
Cost of additional liability insurance
Cost to remarsite the pool after 6 years
Without a heating system, inability to use your pool for almost 1/2 the year
Inability to recoup pool cost when selling

Vs.

Enjoyment of your new pool

Wish we had an outdoor shower to rinse off salt water and/or suntan lotion. We have two pools and didn't do either one
