Vaccine in Groveland

Thanks neighbors for the heads up for getting the vaccine for Covid-19 at Groveland. After seeing some of the posts we decided to drive down and see if we could get in. Left Sanibel at 10:50 this morning (Tuesday) got to the site at about 11:30 and got the shots and on the way home by noon. Hats off to the Groveland police, Lake County Health, and the National Guard for an exceptional professional and efficient process.

I guess after seeing this post as well as others and similar reports from our friends and neighbors....today starting second doses only is a function of who is minding the store.

I called Lake DOH and they confirmed "...there will be no first shots given beginning today...".

Typical of the whole process of the hit and miss vaccine roll out.

Zero consistency and pee poor communications.
