Is it just me or is this Burger King on 466A, slow service, lack of proper employee staffing, miss managed and a lack of compatent managemant. If I was corparate management at Burger King, I would either get qualified management and trained employess or close this location down.

Not just that one, but the Burger King on 441 in Spanish Springs is just as bad. I was there in December and the Whopper had almost no taste, and zero char flavor...the only reason I ever go there. Workers are isolated inside and customers on the outside...no interaction, no incentive to put out a good product.

I don't think the bad service is unique to the Villages or Burger King. IN our travels to and from Florida to New England we often stop in Edgewood, Md for the night. Burger King, McDonalds and Taco Bell are terrible in the Edgewood/BelAir area of MD. Good thing there are other choices but during our first couple of trips we didn't travel beyond the hotel we stayed in.

That was probably the BK on 466, the BK on 466A is in Trailwinds Villages a commercial development and only opened 2 years ago this coming spring.
The BK at Trailwinds when it first opened was very busy, and was fairly proficient, but since Wendys opened about 6 months later, which is about a year ago, I've only been back to BK once. They didn't seem to be that busy at that time. I like Wendys Chili and their Classic Chicken Sandwich and the only item that BK has of interest for me is their meatless burger, but it only comes in the Whopper size, which is very big.

I lived about two miles from those Edgewood Maryland locations for 20 years before moving here. Even though they were that close, I never ate at any of them. I-95 is like a dividing line in Harford County Maryland, crime and everything that goes with crime (drugs) happens on the east of I-95 and west of I-95 it's a totally different world. It's like going from TV to Wildwood. I wouldn't even stay in those motels. Next time go about three more miles to Exit 80 exit east Belcamp and go right at the light, there is a Spring Hill Suites, very nice motel and a nice Pizza Hut in the shopping right next door.
If you stop at Exit 77 again, next time bypass Edgewood exit East, take the exit in the opposite direction. Exit Route 24 West (Bel Air) and go to the first light about a 1/4 mile and turn right, it's Route 924 Tollgate Rd. On the right side of the road about 100 yards is a WaWa, it's very nice and big, at the second light about another 100 yards is a Wegman's Grocery Store, it's the best grocery store you'll ever go inside. I use to live across the street. If you continue on 924 Tollgate go about a 1/2 mile and you'll pass a Walgreens and then a 7/11, the shopping behind the 7/11 has a restaurant that's called Box Hill Pizza, it has the best steak subs in the world, best crabs cake in Maryland, and they have great pizza and spaghetti dinners. That's all within 2 miles of I-95.

JohnW, Thanks for the education!! I usually head east, but if we stop there our next trip I will go west of I-95. I do know where the Wegman's is, on one of our trips we ordered some take out from the nearby Panera. I think we have stayed at exit 80 in 2014 when we were in MD to visit some friends in Forest Hill. Thanks again for the tips! P.S. I just did some looking around next trip Exit 80 will be the one we stay at. Spring Hill Suites looks great.

Complaining about bad service and product here won't change anything. Get the name and phone number of the franchise owner and call that person and let them know of your displeasure. When the owner gets direct complaints from customers it won't be long before a new manager will be in charge of the restaurant. I have called or wrote to corporation headquarters a few times and got quick results.

A broad brush for sure ! WOW ! Our children all worked at fast food at one time or another, learned a great deal, some good, some bad. But also provided a place for many who have no fancy educations, special skills, or union protected wages for in demand trades. Fast food workers can be the "care less" kind of course, we've all had that experience, but also many are the ONLY places who will give an older worker (like a cousin of mine) who can't make it any more on all she has, SS, and has found several fast food places to work. Just saying, it's unfair to paint all folks who want to have some kind of job, as greedy or lazy or "dumb", walk in the shoes of another and say a prayer that you are in a better place than some (due to your own hard work and caring, just like many in fast food are too).

Talking about our kids working in fast-food, when I was 19 I worked in a place you probably never seen or heard of, it was called "Wagon Ho". Here's a photo of the one on Pasadena Ave going from St. Petersburg to St. Pete Beach. I worked there twice, the spring of '69 and the fall of '69 and they went out of business. That was real yachting type sail stretched over steel rafters to create the look of an old west wagon, with a 15' tall fiberglass cowboy.
We had what I thought was the most wanted items. Arby's had just started up and was doing great, so we had the sliced roast beef and sliced ham sandwichs on a sesame seed bun, flame broiled hamburgers on a conveyor belt just BK and string type french fries like McDonalds. We wore white cowboy hats, cowboy shirts and string ties with jeans. A middle aged couple had the franchise in St. Pete and invested their life savings. After about 3 months I left to go work in my cousin's sub shop on the boardwalk in Ocean City Maryland for the summer. When I returned I got my job back. Unfortunately business took a turn for the worse and the company took the franchise back.
Originally they had planned to build 200 locations in a couple of years. The chain started in Birmingham, Alabama, and was another in Bradenton, Florida and I believe another in St. Pete and one in Canada. Only five total were built and opened. They closed down the five locations and cowboys statues were sold off for about $3,000 apiece. Soon after they closed, I headed off to the Army and a career in aviation.
One of the cowboys sat in front of a used car dealer in Pinellas Park (just north of St. Pete) for many years. The cowboy in Birmingham went to a Mexican Restaurant. The cowboy in the Pasadena location went to a mini-golf on Treasure Island.

This spot does not seem to show any concern for improvement
Only Customer
Didn't seem too enthusiastic to have a customer. Marilu, at first said only breakfast items were available. The somewhat sour manager said burgers were available. Bunless burgers were requested. They were presented bunless...but they were also without mayo or ketchup. Rest rooms were grimy and messy despite the early hour. With no other guests, one would expect workers to attend to cleanliness. On-going style of this new venue, it appears.

Why don't you just admit the fact you have never been to Burger King (or maybe not even out of your basement) instead of your condescending remarks. All Burger Kings - all of them - are poorly managed. Since BKs problems are not isolated, then it is an issue with upper management from their headquarters in Miami.

CFA always is respectful and efficient. Just check out the cars in line and how fast they get through to get their correctly filled orders. We often wonder why others don’t follow their lead.
Burger King and Wendy's on 466A are both very slow. I don't know if it's because they just have more customers or what. I don't find them slow on 441.

We stopped going to fast food places and discovered that most area restaurants have lunch specials that cost little or no more than fast food. Service is great and with a smile. And they want 15 bucks an hour in fast food joints and most can’t of those employees can’t tie their own shoes

No it’s not just you. I get attitude every time I ask for something cooked fresh because it’s always cold when you get it. If the hash browns sit for more than 5 minutes the temperature is unacceptable.
What aggravates me the most is when I ask for something cooked fresh and they tell me “it just came out” when I know darn well that is not true because I was standing in line more than 5 minutes and the item was sitting in the warmer.
These employees think nothing of arguing with you when you ask for anything out of the norm.
There is one new girl there who really shines and is very customer oriented.
She should be running the place.
Remember to do the survey on your receipt!
That’s the only way ownership knows what is going on.
I very rarely see the owner overseeing the operation.

Not sure how much Competent help you're going to find for 8 bucks an hour.. If we shut down every restaurant that served a bad burger than would we even have any IN the Villages? Maybe if we tipped them at Burger King or offered to pay 12 bucks instead of 4 bucks quality might rise.. My thought is if I don't want a 4 dollar burger served to me in a greasy sack through my car window I'll opt for the Chophouse where I'll drop 20 but get a big old smile as they're taking my credit card all the while expecting more in a tip then my entire meal at Burger King ran.. In the 10,000 or so fast food purchases I've made in my life I'd be shocked if more than 1% were less than acceptable so I don't want to shut down anyone.. Like my daddy said if you want new clean fresh oats you got to pay a fair price but if you don't mind oats that's already been through the horse well that comes a little cheaper..

Are you reading something new or an article from 2019, Earth Fare was going to open in the shopping center behind Miller's Ale House on 441 and it was announced last February 2020 that they were closing 14 stores in Florida including the one in Lady Lake under construction

Apparently in many cases your way is what we feel like giving you.
Wait till minimum wage is $ 15 per hour and businesses notice that employees are not worth that and machines replace workers in droves.

This has nothing to do with BK or any-other fast food restaurants but more about junk food versus wholesome food. I may be way off base with this post. Going back to 1976 my late cousin ( the brother I never had) took an 11 week cross country tour by van. We camped out in National Parks when we could. I can remember one morning we happened to stop at McDonald’s and he was throwing away the Canadian Bacon on his Egg McMuffin. I said don’t throw that away I’ll eat it, he responded it’s bad for you it has nitrates in it. My point of the story is that he was eating Whole Foods drinking herb tea in the evening by the campfire while I was swigging from a bottle of whiskey and drinking 6 packs of beer. My cousin passed away from colon cancer at age 49. I haven’t had any booze in over 36 years but my point is he ate healthy I did not for many years I should have been the one that passed at such a young age. Quality food plays a role but moderation is the key.

We make our own. Sams Club sells one pound lump crab meat for $20 and you can buy Old Bay at the Neighborhood Walmart at Colony, and sometimes Publix will have it.Then we use the recipe on the McCormick website, the maker of Old Bay.
OLD BAY(R) Crab Cake Recipe | Old Bay (https://www.mccormick.com/old-bay/recipes/main-dishes/old-bay-crab-cakes)
The only difference we do, is instead of broiling for 10 minutes, we bake at 370 for 15 minutes and then broil for 2 minutes to brown the tops. These are the ones we had Super Bowl Sunday. I like them on a hamburger bun with lettuce & tomato. Harford

For live crabs, I haven't tried this place, but Bubba's Crab and Seafood in Leesburg advertises in the Daily Sun all the time.

New investment revives Earth Fare’s plan for store in Lady Lake
New investment has revived Earth Fare’s plan for a natural and organic grocery market at Lady Lake Commons on U.S. Hwy. 27/441.
In February of 2020, Earth Fare closed all of its 50 locations following the previous ownership’s bankruptcy declaration. It has since been revitalized through an investment from Hulsing Enterprises and CEO Dennis Hulsing, as well as involvement from one of its original Earth Fare founders, Randy Talley, and Mike Cianciarulo, a former president of Earth Fare. The new ownership group has since opened 18 locations throughout the east, including Tampa Bay and Seminole.
Originally founded in 1975, Earth Fare is an organic grocer and wellness market with a mission to improve lives by “making healthy food available to everyone.” Earth Fare keeps the “good stuff” like organic fruits, vegetables, and responsibly sourced meat and seafood and leaves out the “bad stuff” like meat raised with antibiotics and artificial hormones as well as artificial flavors, dyes, sugars and more.
“You will find many of the same trusted brands and house made specialties back in our store, and we are adding some new ones,” said David Isinghood, chief operations officer. “Keeping our Food Philosophy and product standards at the forefront, we are expanding our craftsmanship and increasing our selection of Organic produce and local offerings.”
“The Lady Lake and The Villages community was and remains a natural fit for Earth Fare,” said Earth Fare Chief Sales Officer Randy Talley. “We look forward to welcoming the community through our doors and working to be an essential part of this growing neighborhood.”
The developer of Lady Lake Commons, Benchmark Group, was determined to bring a grocer to their center.
“We have been fans of the Earth Fare brand for some time” said Benchmark CFO Jeffrey Withee. “We felt it was important to bring that category to our retail mix in Lady Lake.”
Lad Lake Commons features Miller’s Ale House, Mission BBQ, Huey Magoo’s, a Goodwill store and Total Wine.
Benchmark Group is the Developer of the Sam’s Club development, Village Crossroads and Lady Lake Crossing.
The retail space has already begun minor renovations, with the goal of resuming operations in the second quarter of 2021. A grand opening may be announced at a later date.
