Why does my cart go for 30
Miles at full and the next 10 miles goes to 3/4 then drops to zero out of the blue? Electric 48volt 3 year old batteries

I'm gonna make a wild guess and say it could be possible it's the batteries that are causing this.

OP, when this happens take a digital voltmeter and measure the voltage on each battery, as noted above one (or more) may read lower than others. As an alternative with cells fully charged go to an automotive store and ask to have the batteries tested.

We had a similar problem and it was just one bad battery that was the cause - you would think that the other seven would carry it, but replacing that one bad one solved everything.
