Good news via email, GMR gave me a code for shot number one also number 2 today.
I had registered on 1/11 and have heard nothing until today a month later and was getting frustrated if I was not knowing really on the list.

Registered on Jan 15th. Still waiting.

Curious as to how many folks may have registered before me but have already obtained the vaccine elsewhere.

Also curious as to what happens in that regard? Is that accounted for somehow?

Not sure if GMR contacted us or not. We have had several contacts, either by phone or text. We hedged our bets by registering with Sumter co., Lake co. Marion co., GMR, Flcovid, etc. We received our shots through Publix, and then started getting contacted. The next day, I even received a text from the VA clinic here, asking me if I wanted the vaccination. And I thought they were only giving it to those 75yo and older.
In case anyone cares, our shots we received from Publix are Moderna.
And to the poster that was asking what they are doing if they contact those that already have their shots, the lady told me on the phone that they would just move on down the list of registered. So, no shots are being wasted, if that is the concern.

Based on another active thread.......GMR is now contacting people, who signed up on Jan. 11th, to set up their vaccine appointments.

I was put on their Wait List on Jan. 13th at 1:30pm. I'll just wait until I get notified before I set up a vaccination date.

My wife and I signed up on January 12 at 4:15 am and we both received codes on February 13 at 12:52 pm, to schedule our vaccines. As is the case with some others, we have already received our first dose through Publix and therefore our spots will go to the next people on the list. That should make the people on the waiting list move up the list quicker.

I registered on Monday, Jan 11, at around 6 PM, and I got an email Saturday, Feb 13, at 12:45 PM with a reservation code. But, the code was worthless because I had already completed both Moderna vaccine doses at Publix.

Beware: if you use GPS, there are 2 streets in the area named Woodbridge. Trust me - it is not fun to be near Rohan instead of near 466.

Yes I finally got mine ( Jan 12th to Feb 13th), and it figures I got in the Lake County DOH vaccine the day before.

So, can I put this invite and code on EBay now?

Just kidding. I did the right thing and found a link where it seemed to allow me to cancel, which I did.

Got my code Wednesday; set my appointment for yesterday (Saturday) from 5:30 to 6pm; the site got very heavy rain yesterday so the site was moved to the charter school; got there at 4:45 yesterday afternoon and finally got the shot right at 10pm. Yippee The only time I’ve waited in a line that long was at Woodstock.

If you are on the saferestart/GMR wait list you will get an email with a reservation code.
Then go back to saferestart website, click the second box "...to make an appointment...", then a few questions for clearing, then a list of avaialble dates and times, after choosing a date you will then be sent an email confirming your reservation for both the first and second shot dates.
There will be a bar code at the end of the email.

You are done until your appointment date and time. Take email with bar code and driver's license to sight stated in the email.

Then follow the tail lights to the actual injection spot.

That is because the street you talk of near 466 is not Woodbridge , but is Woodridge. No “b” in it. One is Bridge and one is Ridge. Too closely related for one area if you ask me. But no body asked me. Nobody ever asks me. 😢

I, too, registered in early January (can't remember the exact date), but have only received 2 emails since then saying I was still on the wait list. No code for an appointment as yet; however, Walmart is now giving the vaccine and I was able to schedule an appointment at the WM on 466 for this coming Tuesday for the first shot. We'll see how that goes. I was there last Wednesday to get some groceries and pick up another prescription, so I asked them about the vaccine and they told me they were going to start giving it and gave me written instructions to make the appointment. I tried several times on Wednesday to schedule an appointment but kept getting the message that the vaccine was "currently not available in your location," and to choose another location or try again later. On Thursday, I tried again and success!! The locations popped up, I chose one, and a list of appointment times available. I had to sign into my Walmart account to schedule, so if you don't have an account, you may have to create one, but it didn't ask for any "sensitive" info, just asked if I was a FL resident and over 65 and then asked for my DOB. Very easy!

They provided a couple of days as options and also various times available. I chose 12 noon and showed up at 11:30 AM and went right thru and was out and done in about 30 minutes as there were few cars waiting. They were/are totally organzed

My husband and I registered on January 12. I got my scheduling code yesterday, but since we are not official residents of Florida (just renters) we signed up for and got our first shots in our home state last week after making a quick trip home. Thank goodness for cheap air fares.

I notified GMR via the website that I was cancelling so that opens up another slot. I did look to see how far out they were scheduling and it was from 2/16-2/20.

Good luck everyone. Scheduling is definitely a game, but as time goes on, there will be fewer players competing for those slots.

It appears that GMR was able to reach out to all the Jan. 11th Wait List people. This took approximately 3-4 days. Now they are working on their Jan. 12th list. We have no idea how many people are on each daily Wait List. I guess this should be called the Wait-And-See List.

High accolades go out to the people who have contacted GMR about having their names removed from the Wait List. You deserve an extra Valentine today. This will help speed up the process of working through the list!

Keep letting us know when you signed up for the Wait List and then when you were contacted to make your appointment!

I signed up with GMR originally but they closed before they got to my 1st shot date which was 1/20. Then I found Lake County and was able to sign up for my first shot (pfizer) at Lake Square Mall on 1/29. They said I would be called for an appointment time for my second dose on 2/19 and if I did not hear by 2/12 to give them a call. I did call on the 12th and there was just the recording to sign up for the vaccine. I will try again on 2/15 but am afraid that I may not be able to obtain the 2nd dose. I am getting rather anxious. I wish all these places to sign up would let you know which vaccine they will be administering.

Did you get notified by GMR? I thought everyone went to Buffalo Ridge.

The one at Wildwood Community Center is run by Sumter County. The one at Buffalo Ridge is run by GMR (Global Medical Response). GMR moved to the High School because of the rain in the field. I think Lake is best at the Sears in Leesburg. Better setting and is operating better with faster times.

I signed up for and received both my vaccine shots with GMR without any problem. I received my second shot on Thurs. Feb.11th. Since Friday I am receiving a daily "do not reply' email from GMR with a verification code to sign up for an appointment. I did not sign up twice so I'm not sure why they are sending me this email. I was fully vaccinated (two shots) by them. I guess there is a glitch in their system. I must say that as far as my shots were concerned, GMR did a wonderful job. It was quick and very efficiently done. I was very happy I signed up with them. I received my first shot on the last day before they had to shut down temporarily bc they had no more vaccine and my second appointment was, as scheduled, after they reopened. Great job GMR!!

I also was contacted by GMR. I found the team to be exceptional. I had a bad experience but not due to GMR. Some Villagers are just rude and mean. GMR moved the site due to rain. I was in my golf cart and the site was not in the field it was at the high school. So I couldn't just cross 466 to get to the high school I had to travel around using the paths. When I got to the high school the staff, sheriff's police and village security were very nice and directed me to the line for golf carts. Cars and golf carts had different entry points because cars came across 466 at a light and golf carts came down Belvidere. Went through got my shot and was in the waiting area to make sure there was no reaction. I was parked in the last space next to a cement embankment. A man in a white SUV pulled up really close next to me, rolled down his window, took off his mask and started yelling curse words about how he saw me sneak in the line. Which was crazy. The person from GMR told me to move up. There were two lines one for cars and one for golf carts. And they directed me to go when they merged the two lines together. I tried to explain to him that I did not cut in line but I was wearing a mask and he couldn't hear. Finally he drove off but it was not a pleasant experience. This man was so furious, he was screaming and yelling. Just a head's up if you take a golf cart. The line when I went was shorter for golf carts but we were at the high school due to the field being too wet. And those of you in cars, please understand the site is very organized and no one is cutting you off. The GMR personnel tell us when to move up and when to stop. No one is sneaking in. There is tape and barricades with sheriff's police and Villages safety so no one is sneaking in by driving a golf cart.

I know you aren't supposed to, but I seriously felt we'd never get our shots-people who went online after me already had their 2nd shot.
We got our first 2 wks ago and our 2nd next week finally! Ended up going to Paddock Mall in Ocala.
I feel if you don't get on a lot, you will be ignored.
PS If you and your spouse enter right after eachother and they call for one of you-tell them your spouse registered at the same time. The girl found my name so I had the same appt with my husband. I am scheduled for 9:30 tomorrow 2/17. Around 4pm today I drove past the GMR Woodridge drive location and it looks like a tornado had touched down and destroyed a large tent and for sure you would need a 4 wheel drive to go thru the mud.
I hope to hear from GMR as to where to go soon High school or Wildwood or ?

Thanks for the info, I do not get the paper.
I will go to the Wildwood location with fingers crossed.
I feel I should have been notified by email from GMR as I read someone else was.

I have yet to hear from GMR and am curious as to why only one of us has received an email and not the other. Hoping I will hear soon as well.

applied 8:00pm 1/12/21 received appointment email last night 9:00pm 2/17/21 I believe Pkrjim received their appointment at 9pm on 2/16 since 9pm on 2/17 has not arrived yet today. Thank you for your post!!!

Anyway, if you look at Post#8 and Post#80, you can potentially see the span of time it took GMR to contact most of the people that signed up for the Wait List on Jan. 12th.

Post#8 - Signed up Jan. 12 at 4:15am-----Received code Feb. 13th at 12:52pm.
Post#80- Signed up Jan. 12 at 8:00pm-----Received code Feb. 16th at 9:00pm.

It has taken 4 days to sign up most of the Jan. 12 people. I believe GMR is closed Sunday and Monday and I am unsure what they do administratively during that time.

Let's hope GMR can start working on the Jan. 13th list very soon. I know that some people were put on the Wait List on Jan. 15th. We will hang in there with you! Your time will come!

Received a phone call from DOH three weeks ago to schedule my first COVID vaccine. As I had already received #1 Vaccine on 1/19, she said I would get a call back to schedule #2 Injection. Needless to say, no follow up call to schedule #2 injection. Is the Groveland site still open for #2 COVID injections to first come, first serve patients?

correct it was 9pm 2/16 sorry about that Please don't be sorry. Your input has been extremely important! We are very happy that people are posting their Wait List sign-up date/time along with when they have been contacted by GMR to sign-up for an appt.

I have not received my first appointment yet, but we will all keep tracking GMR's Wait List progress.

I am only summarizing what I am reading from our posters. I hope some of this information helps.

In my previous post I neglected to mention that my pc browsers would not let me enter the code for vaccination dates. The GMR 2nd page to enter the code would come up, but the box to enter the code did not appear. I tried Edge, Chrome and Firefox. I tried turning off ad blockers. I tried clearing history, etc. Nothing. On a whim I tried my Iphone Edge browser and I was immediately able to enter the codes.

Received our code yesterday and have signed up for the vaccination today. The location on the email is at Woodridge Drive. But the newspaper today says operations are at Lake Sumter State College in Sumterville. Anyone know the correct location? Thanks...

I would go to Lake Sumter College. Some people have received follow-up emails saying they should go there but others, like me, did not. I got my first shot there yesterday.

Same thing here. I received email saying Woodridge for 2/19. I left a message at the bottom of their help link and finally received a reply saying Sumterville. Also drove by Woodridge today and it is abandoned. This location confusion is definitely a black mark on GMR.

Website today has a pop-up indicating new location at Lake Sumter College in Sumterville. Unfortunately, they spell "Sumter" incorrectly, as "Sumpter" and "Sumpterville".

Have a couple different questions in this general area. My wife and I both had a very mild case of covid. We were told to not have a coved shot for 90 days as you can kind of of on anti body's. Not the tech. Description but I think appropriate. It wasn't long as with most covid thoughts that they then said no don't wait get it right away. I'm struggling finding agreement either way. Thoughts?

Prior to having covid, I signed up through safe start. Got my appt not any for my wife. Need to cancel and can't find how. Don't want the shot to go to waste but not showing up. More ideas?
