Try each town square on Market night. THere are all sorts of signs available. There are plastic type signs, metal signs, lighted signs...so many to choose from. Have fun.

With those signs what do people usually put on it.

Ex: The Hannon's////or Tom and Carol Hannon ////

We will hit the marketplace hot to trot for a sign and a neat licence plate for our golfcart, if we find one.

We got ours at Ace Hardware in Southern Trace. Simple but effective sign, with the house number and our names - about $45.

Our realtor gave us ours. We just had to go to Market night and pick it out. Don't buy one until you see if you get one as a present.

He did our sign in the front. Picked out a design on his web site. We like ours.

Markets of Marion on Rte 441 North would be a place to go for many start-up items as well as your pole-light sign. The place is where you would get the "biggest bang for your buck."

Put on your comfy walking shoes when you go and oh, they're only open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of each week.

Not to be a downer in this but our local police in NC have warned us that it is not a good idea to put your last name on a sign like that. The reason is that criminals will use it to call your house to see if you are home and, if not, burgularize your home. Just be careful how much infornation you make "publicly" available. Stay safe.

Yes, many of the realtors or TV agents give these as gifts. We got a $50 gift certificate to one of the sign vendors from our agent when we closed. We chose a more expensive sign and just paid the difference.

I thought Spanish Springs was a "Town Square," Lake Sumter Landing was a "Market Square," and both of them have lamp post signs available from vendors on Vendor Night.

We got ours at LSL which PT says is "Market Square" and I've learned not to argue with her:D. We bought a light up sign and the fellow came out an installed it. I think it was $113 total.

I can understand that concern but that information is easily available on the Sumter County Property Appraiser's web site.
