My 11 year old grandson is coming to visit next month. Looking for some tipps on where he can catch fish in The Villages. I live in Sanibel and haven't fished in 50+ years. Advice on where he can catch fish and what type of bate to use.

There is a catch and release pond that goes around the Putt and Play in Fenney, you can do both. I think you can get the rod and reel free at the Fenney Rec. Center, give them a call to find out for sure. I always liked to use crawlers or worms when I fished, never had a lot of luck with artificial bait or lures but a lot of people do.

Be very careful fishing as alligators are present. Keep well back from water line, I cringe every time I see children sitting at waters edge with fishing pole. If it is bigger than a puddle assume there is a gator.

"tips"..not "tipps" and "bait" not bate. Sorry, but it's just so easy to get it right with a computer. Good luck fishing.
