I will be repainting a couple of walls that are now painted with oil base semi-gloss. I'd rather invest more work up front than have problems later.
My plan is to sand the walls with a 3M sanding sponge and then wash with TSP. Before painting, next wipe down with Jasco Liquid Sander / Deglosser and then apply a coat of Kilz Adhesion primer. After that, a coat of satin or eggshell latex paint.
Is this a good plan to avoid adhesion problems later? Is this more work than I need to do? Would appreciate all helpful suggestions. Thanks.
