In the last few days there has been two very negative posts concerning Glenview Country Club and the shows there. After a few hours both posts have disappeared.I’ve tried the search function and they don’t exist.
What’s up with this?

Unless you used profanity, directed your comments at another poster, or made a political reference, you did nothing wrong. I wouldn't believe the admin would delete posts simply because they are a sponsor. I'm not sure if they are or not, I have Ad Blocker Plus, so I don't see ads. In the past that was never the case, you could say anything within reason when giving a review if you had at least 10 posts or more.

I didn’t write the posts, just wondering what was going on.Does this mean that if you are a supporting business of TOTV nothing bad can be written?

That is possible, or it could have been moved to another sub-forum. Threads often get moved to other sub-forums where mods "feel" they belong and seem to disappear as hardly ever a "MOVED TO" notification message is posted.

People make negative comments about the reverse mortgage guy on a regular basis.

There is 1 active thread about the "shows" at Glenview CC. It is a first time post...we do have a guideline that members should have 10 or more posts before criticizing or praising a business or service. This is to prevent disgruntled employees, shills, etc from plugging or panning a business. However, it is a guideline....if the post has sufficient detail and appears to be genuine, we may elect to leave it in place.

As others have stated, posts are removed if they are directed, political, self-promotion, inflammatory, etc. Paid sponsors/advertisers are given a bit more leeway....but, member criticisms of these businesses are not prohibited. We just ask that you start your own thread on them rather than commenting on their "sponsor" thread.

Hope this clears things up. We aim to be fair and to keep the tone civil.

Thread closed.
