That's unusual. When we went in there they were almost tripping over themselves to help us. But as has been mentioned there is Carts and Clubs in Ocala and Country Village Power Equipment in Webster.

Yes go to lake Sumter Gordon’s garage and ask for Len fletcher. I suggest you call there and make an appointment with him. I just bought a cart there and he was fabulous

Have you checked the classified adds? If you're in a hurry, you're probably still going to have to wait so check the classified. I bought a Villages cart and 2 weeks later found a great deal due to a death. You say 2 weeks? It was 6 weeks for the cart to be built.

The other side of the coin. The Villages gave me a rental cart until my cart was built. My 2020 comes with a warranty. A 1 year free towing package. A free rental cart when they do service on my cart. They are close by so if I do need service I drive it there. So just don't look at cost of the cart, there are the costs after you buy as well.

Bought my GC from the store in Lake Sumter Landing in Feb 2017. This last November the two back tires were worn and I wanted to rotate them to the front, and I have a jack and jack stands. Was unable to remove a lug nut on one tire, even using an 18” breaker bar and standing on it - so it had over 200 lbs or torque on that nut.

I called Gordon’s Garage and explained that I just needed a lug nut loosened. The lady said that they did not do that because it would be a liability. I asked if they installed new tires and she said yes. I then asked how they change the tires without loosening and removing the lug nuts. No answer. I asked for a supervisor. She came back on the phone and told me that they would loosen the lug nut, but I would have to have and appointment, and would be charged. I said then that I am done with TV Golf Cars.

I had the nut loosened and reinstalled at the tire store in TV just across from Spanish Springs, and they it on the spot and for no charge.

The Villages push Yamaha because they have a special arrangement with the manufacturer, they will sell you other brands (Club Car, EZGO) but will try to swing you towards Yamaha. the engine with a rebuilt one etc. Quite a difference in what refurbished means in cost to the refurbisher and the value to the buyer of a refurbished golf cart..

Villages Discount Golf has good prices. But don 't count on them for any minor services or parts after the sale - they will say maybe our service department location can provide the part. No mention of "I'll see if they can help." And don't count on them if there is a Yamaha recall - they won't even notify you of the recall.

We also got our cart from Village Discount Golf Cars and were very happy with the service. We did have occasion to go Village Golf Cars at Sumter Landing and talked with Kathy there. She was VERY helpful. In fact, I went back to find out about ordering name decals for our cart and she gave me the name of the gentleman who does their name decals and told me to call him personally because it would be cheaper. She even had me take a picture with my phone of the fonts he offers. She didn't have to do that and we didn't even buy our cart from them.

Don't forget..............at Village Discount Golf Cart you are buying a used cart, with a used engine, driven by strangers who did not own the cart and from golf courses who were under extreme financial pressures who may have not kept up on maintenance.

IMO refurbished means, they look it over replace any worn or broken parts, service it , which may include belts, tuneup, and oil change. Last, test drive see if it’s up to par.

We got our golf cart at Carts and Clubs and saved a bundle. Our cart was a quiet tech with all the bells and whistles. Custom seats, light package, shopping bag on the back. They delivered our cart to us in TV. They provided us with a full training session at our home and came out for free when we thought the gas pedal was jammed but in actuality the floor mat had shifted. They also came out and did our first oil change and inspection for free. Excellent customer service. I would buy from them again.

Villages Discount Golf carts buy demos directly from Yamaha. They have 2020 and 2021 Yamaha carts in stock. ( NOT purchased from people who didn’t service or pay for the carts. Full factory warranty, 5 years for drive train.

Maybe they have changed, but my neighbor bought a refurbished Yamaha from TV Discount Golf Cars about two years ago, I believe it was a 2018 model and he got it for $8900. They even painted it blue, the color he wanted. We use to alternative carts when we played golf before the pandemic. A couple of times we got caught in the rain and his rain curtain is not a Sunbrella like my Yamaha. It's has velcro connections. It seems it's hard to close it, and keep it closed, and it doesn't seem to fit well. They say it's better, but I rather have zippers and snaps myself.

Just got a 2020 Yamaha from Discount Golf Cars and it has Sunbrella enclosure, but instead of those cheap “snaps” it has high quality steel connectors that plug in. Also zippers all around.

If you drive the Yamaha Quiet Tech you will not buy the Club Car. Club has not as of yet figured out how to build a quiet golf cart. Also resale on the Yamaha in TV is MUCH higher.
