I have a spot in the middle of the room I'd like to get a lamp for. I'd like enough brightness to read by. There is no easy electrical access where I want the lamp. So...

Does anybody know of a good battery powered table lamp that might meet my needs?

Or if not, who do you recommend for some electrical work to put one of those floor electrical outlets in in the middle of the room?

Thanks as usual. :)

Isn’t your floor concrete?

The floor might be difficult so consider a ceiling light.

OP, if your floor is tiled, the first thing you need to do is make sure you have or can get matching tile. The second thing is line up a cleaning service as cutting tile and concrete is generally very messy. I agree with the suggestion above, have a ceiling light installed, possibly a hanging light as this will end up being much closer to where you need the light.

The only other option would be one of the walkway cord protectors.

Sorry but I do not have first hand experience with battery powered lamps.

We had the same issue, talked with 3 companies. 2 of the 3 talked about what a mess it would be, and declined the job. Galaxy Home Solutions (?) took the job and completed it with no problems. Minimal mess and they cleaned up what little mess there was. It's with talking to them.

Been there done that. Always do.

I was wanting input from somebody with experience with the lamps...enough brightness to read by, etc.

Thanks for the reply though. :)

We have used Galaxy (not for the OP's project), but I highly recommend the firm.
