There's a bottlebrush tree on the front lawn that has been trimmed to look like a bush. I hate it. It has to be trimmed that way to allow the neighbor access to his/her garage. CYV If I cut it down, is there a quick way to dispose of the waste? Is this considered yard waste?

Yard waste may be placed out on either, or both, of
your scheduled days. The following requirements for yard waste apply:
• Tree limbs and branches may not exceed four (4) feet in length, (4) inches in diameter,
or exceed 40 pounds. They should be bundled and tied and placed at the end of your
driveway

We had a bottlebrush bush in our front yard and wanted to get rid of it. My husband hooked up a tow strap around it and hooked it to our SUV. He then backed up slowly and within 10 seconds the bush and root ball was completely removed. We listed it on Facebook/Nextdoor and it was picked up within an hour.

If you go the route as suggested by someone here and pull with a vehicle. I would have utilities marked. Gas lines, electric and irrigation may be interconnected with the roots. I would hate to rip all that out.

A real tree cannot be removed without approval. Seems like this thing is just a bush

I have to disagree.......there is a 4 inch diameter exemption out there............I would call them.
If you live in a home and would like to have a tree removed in excess of four (4) inches in
diameter, architectural approval is required prior to removing or effectively removing any tree.
• If the requested tree is a canopy tree those requests are provided to our arborist for a report and once completed are provided to staff for the ARC’s review at their next meeting.
• If you live in a courtyard or patio villa, architectural approval is not required for tree removals. Generally a tree that matures at over 30 feet and is not a palm or conifer is considered a canopy tree.

Could the tree be transplanted to another yard? I’m looking for a weeping bottle brush. TY.

those trees can be removed without approval. I just has one taken down by Michaels. ground the stump also, hauled away. Not expensive. why bother digging it out when you can have someone take care of it in a matter of 15 minutes

Bottle Brush trees run about $400 or more and are in fairly high demand. If it can be removed and sold, you might consider that.

Let us know how it goes, we always read the question but rarely ever get the skinny on the follow-up! Please Include the part about tearing out the sprinkler system.. I always call ARC before I do anything! Not worth the hassle later

I have an oak tree I would like to take out. It’s about 12 feet tall, planted by the developers.
1) Do I need approval to have it removed?
2) Any recommendation for a tree removing company
Thanks.

Sorry to say you will need approval. Those trees are too big for small lots and oh so messy.

I have a gorgeous bottle brush tree, medium size, that needs to be removed for garage addition. You take out and it is yours for $100. Nancy. Nancymacy@gmail.com

The current tree is about 14 ft tall but it's been trimmed into a bush for some time now because it intrudes on the neighbor's driveway. I'm trying to figure out how to send the picture if that would help , but if anybody has an idea of how much that would cost to remove professionally I'd like to hear it. We would like to have the stump and root removed so we can plant a different tree there. It was certainly a dumb place to put a tree that spreads into your neighbor's driveway.
