Has anyone replaced a slider with a french door to the lanai in a cyv ? Or removed the slider from the master bedroom to the lanai and walled up the opening ?

We have that slider, we keep the blinds closed and have a bureau blocking one side in the corner. The other side we open the slide if we want heat or AC in the lanai.

Replaced our Slider to the lanai approx 4 yrs ago ... IMO best decision ... purchased at Lowes & arranged installment thru them also ... was happy with installment service ... our lanai is "not" glassed windows so French Door was considered "outside" door & a permit was required ... handled by installment services ... door was also "inspected" by county after installation.

Thank you . Do you have any info on the french door you installed ? Was it a real ( 2 door french door ) or slider with panes ? Thanks

Yes, I believe it was a "real" French Door ... we had it installed with both doors opening into the lanai (to save dining area room) ... Jeld-Wen door ... both doors have blinds between glass panes ..:)unfortunately, I can't find the model #
