Now that the bridges are open I thought it would be great to celebrate by carting down to either Fenny Grill or Edna's from Hemingway. When I checked The Villages GPS (paid version) it said it would take three hours.
Is there a way I can update?

Google Maps set to bicycle also works.

The Villages (Paid Version) GPS is usually way off with their time of travel.

Yes it will especially when the road slopes downward.

The Villages (Paid Version) GPS is usually way off with their time of travel.
Also sometimes locks up and does not work well in areas South with poor cell phone connection.

Just add 10 minutes from Brownwood to Edna’s and maybe 25 to Fenney Grill give or take a couple minutes depending on how slow or fast your cart is

Purchased one app when I first moved here - I have never got it to recognize my new home that I moved into last year - south of 44. I just typed in ‘Starbucks’ again - and it only listed: 3 in Orlando, 1 in Celebration and 1 in Kissimmee. Hmmmm.... odd. This doesn’t help me.
***The good news —- the regular Villages App (free) is spot-on.... it locates me - at my exact location, it will provide me driving AND golf cart directions to locations here in The Villages! I don’t really need the driving directions anymore - but the golf cart directions are super!!! Not sure how accurate the timing estimations are .... but, having golf cart directions - that are accurate are great - a great help to me!

Just follow the signs. You don’t need a GPS.

There are no signs showing you the way. I have helped several lost souls trying to get to Fenney and some trying to get back to the bridge.

Google Maps set to bicycle also works.
Not from Fenney. Takes you out onto Warm Springs Road via 505 until Everglades Rec center, then onto MMP. Villages app works best right now.

Use Waze or Googlemaps. Find the time by car, double that and add 10 minutes for a trip by cart . Your estimate will be work just about every time.

Use the villages free app. It has already been updated. Just go to destinations and take it from there.

How does one download the 'free' GPS app? Thanks!

After you cross the Water Lily Bridge from the Brownwood side would someone like to give written directions to Fenney by golf cart? Thanks

You shouldn't need cell phone connection. The GPS works off satellite. Pretty sure you need data or wifi to start it but once it's up and the route is mapped, the satellite connection kicks in to continue the trip.

Only the village owned app is correct in getting you there at this time.
The paid Village app is not updated to get you over the water lily bridge yet

Use the free Villages GPS app. It's much better, only problem is there are no voice prompts, but the directions are generally much more accurate. TV keeps promising voice prompts are comming.

I put big tires on the rear and small ones on the front of my golf cart. That way, I'm always going downhill. If I'm not in a hurry, I just turn off the motor and put the cart in neutral and coast. Overall, I get about 120 mpg. I fill up the gas tank about twice per year.

Seriously there is bad cell down south? Do the villages tell buyers about that. Hmmm

Never had a problem with Verizon. Would you seriously go shopping for a house without your phone?
