I've noticed areas along Buena Vista in the Savanah area, where nothing is built or planted. Sometimes you see a stick in the ground here or there. Can anyone tell me why these areas are left empty? These aren't drainage areas and are not walking areas.

There's a lot of "vacant" land here that is meant as preserves. Those sticks you see are nesting areas for certain wildlife.

:) They are called "Nature Preserves". The one near the Savannah Center is a Gopher Turtle Preserve. The sticks mark the entrance to holes in the ground so mowers don't disturb them. I believe they are on the $5.00 map that I haven't heard anyone talk about in a long time. There is also a SOUTH version too.

As others have said, they are preserves.

We bought one of our villas specifically because it backs up to the Michael E West wildlife preserve. Looking a bit brown this last December but it's a nice view. There is a lake a bit further that you can see if you are there.

We have been looking for a larger house so will have to check with dear wife to see if this is big enough.

There are big empty spaces along 466a that have for sale signs on them. Supposedly years ago they wanted to buy them and could not agree on price.

Interesting that it is saying it got renovated in 2016 and that it got built in 2016. Yet, when it was up for sale in earlier years, there’s definite pictures that the house was there in 2011 and even earlier. Is that misleading information by the sellers?

My friend has a house built in 1950. Though it was deeply renovated, and square footage added in 1985 and again in 2008, when she put it up for sale, it still said built in 1950.

Thats why you should be doing your own research and not just believing everything fed to you. You know the old saying, “Buyer beware”. If anyone gets a house or anything else and it isnt as stated.....well......shame on them,!

Areas between polo field and village houses are designated areas where turtles are I believe..also all that it most of that area is owned by other people, not necessarily the Morses.

That post was right on point in replying to the original post. It's a few of the other posts that are in the wrong place....and off subject.....as always
