What happened to the lead singer for rocky and the rollers. Saw them at Brownwood tonight and the prior lead singer was replaced with a different guy. He talked more song lyrics than sung them. I was not impressed with him. And Rocky the drummer sang more songs than normal.

Yes, we saw them at Sumter. Definitely not the same. We were very disappointed. I “heard” two things one was his grandchild has an issue, the other he has cancer. I would hate to spread any kind of rumor about either one . Just stating the two things I heard about it. If he is not coming back, they need to look for a new singer because what they are doing now is not working. In my humble opinion!

I noticed that Al Morse, the black soul singer, was missing from Rocky and the Rollers when I saw them a couple months ago. Was he the "missing" lead singer? He has a great history as a backup singer for several famous groups, and I've always loved his voice. And I agree - the band did not live up to its previous quality when I last saw them.

Yea, and he's about the only one that can carry a tune in that group. Their instruments still sound good (loud brass helps) but they need Al to even sound (vocally) half-way decent.
