Hello. We purchased a home in the Villages and am arriving in a few days. We have several packages we ordered on Amazon that are being sent via the post office.
Are there parcel boxes at the community postal centers or does the post office deliver packages directly to your door?

Thank you so much

If they fit in the large boxes at your mailbox, there will be a key in your mailbox to open the larger box. If they're too big to fit in that box, they sometimes deliver to your door or leave a pickup notice in your mailbox. I've experienced all three scenarios.

We have had deliveries from Amazon to both our post office box (yes, there are boxes at wherever you receive your mail) and at our home (even on a Sunday). Amazing to see that the slowed down USPS service manages to deliver Amazon orders in as little as ONE DAY! some of the time. Hmmmmmmmmm?

BOTH , but never rule out when your odd size box key gets put in the wrong mailbox and you never receive your packages!

To clarify, you can't depend on them always putting boxes that fit into the larger mail boxes. Those boxes often get used up and then they will deliver the package to your house and leave in on the porch.

The postal delivery person told us yesterday that due to the high numbers of larger deliveries, they are only leaving them in the large mailboxes for 2 days. If not picked up, they will put a notice in your personal mailbox with a pick-up time (like between 1:00 and 2:00).
