Hi,
Very exciting, my girlfriend and I close on our new home in TV tomorrow and we think it's silly that we still have to say boyfriend & girlfriend. We know where to go pick up a marriage license and have all our documentation. The one problem is they are not doing ceremonies at the clerk's office due to COVID precaution. Is anyone here on the site a justice of the peace that can marry us tomorrow if we go pick up a marriage license tomorrow morning? We think it would be fun!
Alternatively, if we don't squeeze it in tomorrow we will get married at the town hall when we get back to New Hampshire Friday morning.
Cheers,
Dylan & Erin

Anyome can do it in minutes! You can probably even find discount coupons even though they say it's free! Nucky has been trained as our justice of the peace. He only charges a token amount which is about as high as he can count.:)

Believe even a notary can marry you. We did it that way about 23 years ago back yard style.

A notary can marry you in Florida. Most banks have a notary on staff. Pick a bank or credit union, go in, open an account, and have the bank/credit union notary marry you - in the lobby of the bank/credit union. If you are using The Villages Citizen's Bank for your mortgage and bank account, they might be more than willing to marry you.

Married in the lobby of a bank?! HAHA If it was my circumstance, I'd enjoy the term "Fiancé" for a while, and have a nice meaningful wedding when you can. But you do you!

That actually totally worked!! We went to the county clerk right after our house closing and an hour later had our license and then rushed down to Safe Ship to have it notarized their and then hustled back up to the clerk's office to submit it. Success!

I assume you then carried your "bride" across the threshold of your new home. Congratulations.
