I agree. They all have done that and I am glad. I was afraid they would get someone who tried to do stand up comedy. That show the WAY it was always run is what I am hoping for.
I am not a big football fan and didn't know who it was until husband told me. He certainly is handsome. Aaron Rodgers.

Trebek would probably pick the Executive Producer as he makes the contestants the center of attention.

Aaron Rogers does have a monotonous voice, hoping he will do better but second night not much better than the first.

Well you are all wrong. Aaron is the best so far (OK... yes... I am a Packer fan).
But let me just say... this is a football player that can articulate the questions and maybe even understand the questions and answers. How many "big-time" professional football players can do that?
I can't see him giving up his big salary to host Jeopardy or even give up his personal time when not playing football to do this. But I think he is a positive example of the NFL.

I think the Executive Producer was the best so far. Was relaxed and moved the show along. Found Ken Jennings a little stiff and repetitive in approach.

Or the producer Mike Richards was very good as well
I just read that Anderson Cooper was on the list.....that’s a big fat not watching that week

When you have the best, (Alex Trebek), the rest are always going to be downhill.
I just hope they pick someone who can do a reasonably credible job.
So far all of of them have been good with Mike Richards leading the pack, (no pun intended for Aaron Rodgers).
To me, it's all about the questions. IMHO

Maybe that's the plan. After it's all said and done, they hope we'll be happy to have Mike back.
I enjoy watching Aaron Rogers on the football field and in the State Farm commercials. But he always plays the "dry" character on SF ads. I think it comes across better on a commercial than on a show like Jeopardy.

One thing I like about the guest hosts is, they all get the questions answered. That is one thing that bugged me about Alex, he left to many questions unanswered, he talked way to much about nothing.

Why would they pick him? Because he won "celebrity" jeopardy. He's a football player that was smart enough to win against then-astronaut Mark Kelly (currently a U.S. senator from Arizona) and “Shark Tank” panelist Kevin O’Leary. So let that sink in. Aaron Rodgers... a football player... won against an astronaut.
That would be why he has won the opportunity to host Jeopardy.

I still don't understand why people watch jeopardy which is a great game and then stop watching because of the host who has very little to do with the talent of the contestants. Are we so enthralled with celebrity that the actual game is secondary?

I saw the show only once this past week
I did not know who this guy was.
I thought he was talking in a sort of Matthew McConaughey way.
I also thought he was quite handsome — OK, I’ll just say it — I thought he was sexy.
He might be too sexy for the show. . .I think there is a song about that. . .something like, I’m too sexy for my shirt, too sexy for the show. . .
Could he be too distracting?

Lol, you might be right. But unless they can tape a year's worth of shows before "two-a-days" start this summer, he will belong to the Packers and be unavailable.

No worries about that, as we have seen players play 2 sports which is much harder to do. Game show could work the schedule with ease if it’s a great fit and good for ratings They already have that figured out or they wouldn’t waste their time. Game shows usually tape several shows in a day anyways

If the host is very annoying with a voice that sounds like nails on a chalk board like Katie Couric it becomes too distracting to watch. The host sets the tone for the game.

You could be right. I know that Wheel of Fortune only tapes two days per month. Still, I wonder if the NFL would be up for AR missing anything at all. I assumed the players taped the commercials during the off season.
I like him. I think his humor will come out, he'd become more at ease, and he certainly is easy to look at.

Really? Katie Couric has been on TV news forever, earned awards, has been on all the networks. Evidently her voice may only effect either a minority or those that don't like her politics. Trebek always said it's about the game and the contestants and not about the host. Was he wrong?

Was totally sold on Mike Richards when He was the host. Do not care for Ken.... his personality and his voice were not to my liking. Wasn't too much into Aron at first, but as he progressed, his voice was a little monotone initially, but that improved quickly. He became better with each show and was quite pleasant I thought. At this point it is a toss-up between Mike and Aron. With Aron probably creeping ahead at this point. I have seen articles that claim that Aron really wants the position and already has it figured out how he can manage both.
