Our lawn is getting overcome with clover and other weeds. We also have some brown spots. This started last fall and our contractor treated it. He said it will be fine come spring and it's worse. He said his tech told him he never treated the lawn.

So now I cancelled that contract and need a new company that actually takes care of their customers lawn.:MOJE_whot:

Fertigator.
Been with them +8 years.
Best yard in the neighborhood.

They fertilize thru the sprinklers.

Zoysia Green did a great job for me for several years.

Do it yourself, I do. I walk our neighborhood area daily and see weeds and lawns that are obviously infested with bugs and disease. I find is criminal that these so called lawn care companies actually charge big money for their lack of care.

For what it is worth, this spring 2021 seems worse than normal as far as weeds in the lawn.
A banner year for dollar weed an easy kill with broad leaf weed killer-tri mec 24d products.
Clover has been worse in the past. It is hard to kill with the tri mec products. My experience
Kill Max available from Do it yourself pest control is far more effective on clover.
Do not use it if you have St Augustine grass. I find it is also great at killing the St Augustine grass that sooner or later your mowing service will bring into your Zoysia lawn.

Clover can be killed with over the counter products like Ortho Weed be Gone. You need to mix "Leaf Lock" in with it. The Leaf Lock seals and smothers and allows the Weed be Gone to do it's job. Good luck!

There is no shortage of solutions. Truth, I've never heard of leaf lock. I have heard of sticker solutions. You can actually use horticultural oil as a sticker. You can also use liquid soap.

Interesting I seem to recall that 24d was invented and used in WWI by the British.
Perhaps slightly parallel to agent orange used in Vietnam. At one time Scotts sold a product called Erase. It was the same chemical as Agent Orange.

That product I mentioned Kill Max, does work better than broad leaf killers such as Weed be Gone a trimac-24d product. More important to me, Kill Max is the only product I know of that will kill the St Augustine invariably brought into a Zoyzia lawn by the mowers, without killing the Zoyzia. Weed be gone products mixed a bit strong, 2 rather than 1 tablespoon per gallon will kill St Augustine and not the zoysia. I suggest if anyone follows my advice you do a small spot. Not your whole lawn. If, it works
I do not expect credit or thanks. If, it does not I accept no responsibility.
