Hello,
I’m preparing to move to our home in TV permanently soon.
I’ve been in the automotive business all my life and have spent time in all phases of the business.
I’m considering starting a private detailing business where I do 8-10 cars per month and will offer a few different packages to choose from.
Just wondering if there would be interest in having your vehicles detailed. I’ll be offering pick up and delivery service in TV or you can drop and have someone take you home.
Your car will look as close to new as it can when finished.
Just testing the waters to see what the interest level might be.
Thank you for any input you can provide.

I think you will have some luck.
There are a couple guys who do it on your drive.
Three hours, $75.
Word of Mouth will drive your business.

Been disappointed with The Villages Car Wash. Wheels not completely cleaned. Tire wet applied before it entered the car wash and doesn't last a day. Dirty towels 'clean' dash panel and I have to re-clean with clean microfiber. Agree with previous post. word of mouth will get you business. Price is key

Price will be the key, and convenience like coming to my driveway to do this work. I am confident there will be business.

You might have a problem running this “business” out of your home/driveway. Though it’s only 8-10 per month you may get neighbors complaining. I believe more interest would come if you went to customer’s homes to detail. Hope it’s successful!

Do a good job and I’m a customer. However, in my driveway, not keen on a stranger driving away in my car.

could work for you. but a good detail job and if you know how much it takes to do it doesn't come cheap. most people here want cheap and want a over the top job my 2 cents. i'm a car guy I detail my car often and it takes 2-3 days inside and out. people here want a $30 detail and still complain..good luck.

More than a problem....running a business out of your home is not allowed.
Stated in deed restrictions........
To clarify, “at your home “.

OP, you might be able to hook up with one or more of the local car washes, but i agree with above, you will not be able to do it at your house.

Do it at the customer's house you will be fine.
Just read your Restrictive Covenants..............you can do this.

If you did the work in my driveway I would be very interested. Heck, I would hire you to do the BMW and both golf carts.

Imo not totally true I would gladly pay 175 bucks for professional buff and polish, I don’t need engine bay done my car is pristine except for professional buff out.

Price would be the biggest consideration. Village Car Wash has that service but not sure of the cost. There are also various people offering service at your home. There is a new car wash just opening on 466A close to Lowes. Not sure if they will be doing detailing.
